if chris storer knew ball, he would have had a scene with syd and carmy folding their side towels together

the towel you can see on syd’s hip? restaurants have those come in with their linen service/vendor. we don’t wash them in house but when they come back they’re in these big bags and they’re stacked together but not individually folded.

so, you take them out one by one and fold them and put them in one central location or maybe someone’s nice enough to go around station to station and set everyone up with a stack of towels.

even if you don’t have romantic tension or intention with a coworker there’s something SO intimate about standing side by side and folding “laundry” together

and as i’m typing this i remember jess and richie actually did this!

i was at work and my chef said oh this [sauce] is too rich, it needs some acid. and i was like right- but then i stopped because i finally heard it.

maybe this is a blue curtain moment, but?

when a sauce is too much - too rich, too abundant, we cut it with acid. to make it most palatable.

the sauce in question by the way was lovely. and it was like fatty, umami, etc. but it overwhelmed one person’s palate

do you see where i’m going?

syd was too much and in this dish (cola braised short ribs) that was an expression of herself, carmy said no, too much- let’s cut back and make it sharper, make its characteristics decrease in a way

Carmy and Sydney are successfully running The Bear together. They get married, the wedding is small but beautiful, Richie cries during his best man speech but refuses to admit it. Eventually they have twins a boy and a girl named Mikey and Inez. Both of them grow up and become successful in their own fields Mikey taking after his family and becoming a chef, working in many different restaurants first as a bartender then as a chef, he works his way up to CDC his co workers all love him of course he got his uncle Mikey's charm. Inez becomes a fashion designer. First she models but then wants more and starts working her way up the ladder, she creates her own brand and runs her own successful business.

The cookbook exists and it's dedicated "to Sydney Sugar & Tina, who are my Bears and who are the reason." The restaurant gets three stars; Jimmy refuses a buyout offer; Emmanuel makes his way through the rainstorm with three red star balloons because his baby got a prize. Sydney is next door at Green Door Tavern drinking with the gang in celebration. Carmy feeds Emmanuel and they talk for like two hours and Carmy tells him a ton of stuff he's never told us you just know is 100 percent true. There's something about someone pulling someone onto a train and kissing them. Leap forward to the Oak Park house and babies. Donna gets to see one for 20 supervised minutes and then goodbye. Emmanuel lives with them. Leap backward to the kissing on the train and then 20 minutes of sex and talking and giggling and arguing at the Wicker Park apartment. End credits are to Long Live by Taylor Swift with behind the scenes footage of the crew and bloopers. THE END title card - dedicated to various dead people with the caption "Death cannot stop true love, just delay it for a while." And...curtain.

i don’t know. i don’t know how to dream anymore lmao

and i’m so serious. i was thinking maybe they talk at the apartment and then it snowballs. small wish! i’m kind of over syd’s labor being the thing that makes her seen. like? winning stars is great. being a business owner is great. but i want her to have some happiness where her personal life and her work life are treated separately. like carmy falling into her arms because they’ve achieved a star isn’t really making me feel that happy for some reason.

i really want carmy to know about the hamachi. i want him to understand what it means that she followed his career to the point of finding him at his lowest moment just to help.

something from that point of view! that was love before they could say anything.

the absolute dream would be storer inc tying up all the loose ends of sydcarmy crumbs but - that’s high hopes
