Hey there! I was wondering if you had any tips on finding one's own sense of motivation to study. Because currently it feels like no matter how hard i try or what i try or however hard i work, it doesn't seem to show any results. And that shows wayyyy clearly in my grades. I tried asking for help and even got it but i'm still unable to improve. And then that makes me want to not try anymore. Mainly because i literally can't find enough motivation i guess...
If I’m completely honest, I feel the same way right now. I’m starting university next year so I feel like I’ve just been for studying so hard so long that I’ve burned out.
My plan on how to be more motivated though is to just start over. I’m planning on having goals and maybe a vision board to remind me of why I want to do what I’m doing and how it can help me reach my other goals.
I’m also going to have an ‘at least’ list each day. With just one thing each day that I have to try and get done, at least just that one thing.
When you’re stuck feeling unmotivated I think the main thing to do is be your own cheerleader. Be proud you got that one thing is done, maybe it’s one question or you only read one paragraph, but it’s still something and if you get yourself to do one thing every day, it adds up in the long run and it’s better than doing nothing at all.
Another important thing when it comes to this is also not to give yourself expectations that are too high for how much studying you can do. If you’re struggling to do nothing, it’s unrealistic to say you’re going to start over tomorrow and write 3 essays and a whole list of other things. Start off small, maybe you only write the introduction and one body paragraph today. If you do more, that’s great. If not, you still got some stuff done. Just slowly build up.
