At one time, I lived in Istanbul, amidst structures of the Ottoman Empire.  When I took the name on Tumblr, I had no intention of starting this blog.  I just needed a name that was available on Tumblr.  I have a second (video, not vintage) blog now with a better name: creatureblacklagoon.

Photographers Pat Milo and Bruce Bellas aka Bruce of Los Angeles (and five of their models).  Bruce Bellas was born in 1909, and Pat Milo in 1911, so this photo was perhaps taken in the mid 1950s.

Let me answer some but not all.  Gay, old enough to remember when models had to wear posing straps, in Washington, DC.
