Kishmish is about 7 months old. He is an Indian Pariah Dog-- a street dog from India, essentially a mix. He has the appearance one might expect from a cross between a german shepherd and a whippet and will likely grow to be a little larger than the average whippet's size. He's great with other dogs, gentle with cats, and a wonderful companion and best friend once he opens up. You can click this link to apply for his adoption, or continue to read about him below.
I know tumblr isn’t exactly an adoption site, but as just a regular pet owner and not a rescue center of any kind this is the only resource I have. Please, please share this to spread news of his situation.
Kishmish has been in my foster care for about a week. He warmed up to me in under 24 hours and we became fast friends. He’s playful and cuddly all in one, and he can handle some independence but always wants to know how you are and what you’re up to. He’s interested in and wants to play with our four cats, but has always been gentle with all of them. He’s great with other dogs and warmed up to our dog, Neera, almost instantly, and they love to play together (see below.) I’ve been working with him frequently and he is a pro at leash walking. He likes to chase balls but isn’t the best at bringing them back, and more than anything loves to run around a fenced in yard and play with friends– be they human or canine.
Kishmish is fully vaccinated and microchipped. He isn’t fixed yet as he is too young. He is essentially fully potty trained, has had no accidents inside the house, and always alerts his caretakers if he needs to go outside.
