hi i made the mistake of buying satin that wasnt very good quality, but if i turn it over its less shiny and i was wondering if i could get away with using that for a skirt. i might end up buying casa satin or bridal satin(its for a sailor scout skirt) but im really strapped for cash :(

Hey! So Im cosplaying historically accurate Elsa for this con in Norway soon, but I need some tips about something, hopefully you'll know. So I really want to push up my boobs more, but idk how. They dont have to get bigger, I just need them to be more pushed up, like women in the 1700-1800's had. Lol, I feel like this is such an awkward question, Im sorry. Can you help?
I actually have similar problems in the chest area lol try looking for some inserts called "chicken filets" it sounds silly, but they're relatively cheap and are just push-up inserts you put into your bra. I suggest using a strapless bra for this route. (that's what I do!)Other things that can help are regular push up bras, and even some underbust corsets. -CarolineKrunchy

I have a question. As a shy, nervous person, I have this one "superpower" of being invisible, so I can't find myself in almost any photos after con (although there were people, who take photos of me). I get that my costumes aren't the best or most eye-catching and aren't as popular (for example - Flychatcher (Fables) or Mad Hatter (Batman)) as main heroes of series. So, how can I get noticed? Is there a way I can say to photographer, who asked for pic, that I have an idea for it?
Usually, photographers have their cards ready, but often forget to pass them out. (I'm usually one of these people.) Ask the photographer for if they have a card, and I'm sure they can get it to you, or ask to exchange information so you can get in touch with them after the con about photos. Try looking on the Facebook page or groups for people who upload their photos, or ask if any Photographers are available to do a photoshoot with you at the con!
(Part Two) So she would never go with me to one. Ive been wanting to do this kind of thing since I was 12 but never met anyone with the same interests. I just dont know what to do. I've heard that I could go to a con alone and meet people there but I don't really know how.. And then I also hear you should never go to a con alone because it's unsafe and/or boring ): Do you have any advise? Do you think I could meet people at cons? I'm sorry for this odd question.. I'm just stuck on what to do /:
Check out the convention Facebook pages, groups, and online forums. Start up a thread and begin meeting people there! I've met some of my best and life-long friends through convention tions just based on the fact we were cosplaying from the same series, or met in panels we had common interests in. If you agree to meet with people that you've met online, just be safe about it. Chances are, nothing will happen, but you never want to put yourself in a situation you can't get away from!You will defintaely meet so many friends through conventions, I can promise that!
How to make Scales (Homestuck: Peixes and Ampora family) You need: your skin prepared (fundation, cream, etcâŚ) Blush or eyeshadow of the color of the scales 2 brushes (not too small, I took those with a squared head) Water based Bodypaint FISHNET thights or Wig cap water spray How to proceed:
Put on the blush with a brush. It has to be quite light beause if itâs too pronounced the scales wonât stand out enough. Put your head into the fishnet tights or wig cap. Spray your bodypaint and use the second brush to take the color and tap it on your skin. It doesnât have to be perfect, itâll look more natural if itâs shaded⌠Wait a few seconds until the paint is dry and remove fast the fishnet tight or wig cap. Itâs done 38D you can use hairspray to fix the make up :3 Have fun and brush your teeth âĽ
Adding a âlace frontâ the quick(ish) and (not really) dirty way. Featuring Levi because I hate this wigâs hairline with a passion.
Details in the captions, but basically I took the extra lace from a cheap eBay lace front wig (because swiss lace is waaaay expensive and I definitely donât need it by the yard), glued it to the inside of the wig, and started stabbing tufts of extension hair through the lace. I hotglued it totally flat and just kept building. I used the same method to add the purple to my Eridan wig.Â

i have this blog so much, i used to cosplay but i was very poor and not very killed and i got a lot of hate for not being an exact replica of the character and a wig being too long or being too tall or short and it got so bad i stopped cosplaying but this blog honestly makes me wanna go and cosplay again
Don't let other people get in the way of your wanting to cosplay. You do it for yourself and because you love it and the characters you want to cosplay! Do it for you, not anyone else.

So I wanted your opinion on something. This week is kind of my last week to pick all my costumes for a convention in 5 months and I really want to cosplay Katara from ATLA, but I don't have a wig or money to buy one for her so I was going to do a blonde version instead. The thing is, I feel really really weird about changing her hair color and I don't know what to do.
If you want to go blonde, do it! Other options are temporary hair dye. There are some brands that only last a few days, and there are some spray in colors that last until the next time you wash your hair. You can always find cheap wigs online, on eBay. Just search "Long wavy dark brown wig" and you can often find some for under ten dollars! I got mine for $7!

After making the tutorial for kimchicutie to help her with her Mistress 9, I was motivated to finally write up how I made my four identical Demonâs Blood Talismans. They do light up, thanks to Kamui Cosplayâs tutorial on light up gems! The first part of this tutorial could also be used for resin casting, as Oomoo 30 is the mould maker I use for that, too.
