The Traveling Oasis is the name given by Marsuraptors to the massive generation ship which would arrive at the Sol System after a roughly 100 year (relative to the ship) journey through deep space.

Created during an asteroid mining boom, The Traveling Oasis was the result of a large international effort, led by an economic alliance analogous to that of Earth's European Union, to spread Marsuraptor civilization beyond their home system.

The main body of the ship consists of a partially hollowed out non-metallic asteroid roughly 40 km in length, consisting mostly of silicate materials and water ice. Along with serving as the main structural body of the ship. It also serves as a last line of defense against micrometeorite impacts and radiation, something that has become increasingly useful as other systems wear down in late stages of its journey.

Along with this, at the bow of the ship sits a large frame wired with charged cables generating a powerful electromagnetic field. Within this frame lies whipple shielding designed to catch larger debris. Serving as the first line of defense, both are regularly maintenanced and often prove to be the largest drain of non-renewable resources on the entire ship.

The most prominent structure within the ship are the two habitat cylinders. Both measure ~15 km in width and ~8 km in diameter, and consists of three layers.

The Outer Cylinder is the thinnest, consisting mostly of infrastructure such as plumbing and electrical infrastructure, transit systems, along with some raw material storage and industrial facilities that require stable gravity in order to operate.

The Habitation Cylinder is the main habitation layer which almost all of the generation ship's population calls home. Comprised of city blocks with a density roughly similar to Brooklyn, with the urban center being broken up by eight evenly distributed green(orange-red) park spaces. Although it has fluctuated over time, the population of the generation ship hovers at around 7.5 million at the time of its arrival into the Sol System.

The outer part of the Inner Cylinder is lined with lights and reflective surfaces to provide lighting to the main habitation layer. The inner part Is used for low-gravity agriculture recycling, and manufacturing providing food and other resources to the rest of the generation ship.

Pseudoear position is usually the best default indicator of mood and the one marsuraptors look to most when trying to gauge how another is feeling. Although it is also the easiest for marsuraptors to control and fib.

Eye pinning and head movement movement on the other hand is mostly involuntary but a lot more subtle. Teeth baring for both fear and anger is usually a lot more rare. Generally in marsurptor society showing your teeth or even opening your mouth outside of eating is considered VERY rude, and with it being something that is fairly easy to repress, it is usually reserved for extreme/uncontrollable bouts of emotion.

Marsuraptors also tend to emote very silently, with them lacking the ability to produce much sound outside of the nasal vents used for speech. In the absence of any instinctual noise cues, some marsuraptor cultures will include words that effectively mean "I am feeling (emotion)" to add a verbal component to expressions, although this is something that is far from universal.

Along with this, cultural expressions also include body language, which, like with humans, can range from long distance greeting gestures to rude expressions.
