When Gabrielâs brother-in-law Liam called him at 11:00 at night to tell him that Hannah had gone into labor a full two months early, he was filled with a sense of dread. He was already awake, so he got dressed in a hurry and hung up with Liam after promising that heâd be there, immediately calling for a cab. He begged them to hurry, not caring that the fare for the forty-five minute drive would be nothing short of exhorbitant. He felt himself shaking, gripped with the fear that every minute he spent waiting was a minute less he got to spend at the side of his twin; for the first time in nearly a decade, he cursed being unable to see.
