I saw Cruel Intentions when I was younger. It was one of the movies from the 90s to early 2000s that adapted a book really well. I had never seen Dangerous Liaisons until today.

While I still love Cruel Intentions, the acting doesn't come close to the cast of Dangerous Liaisons. Comparison is the thief of joy but I still have been able to enjoy both films.

First I see Glenn Close. I said, ok, now it will be good. At the very least her acting will be. For the little screen time she has, incredible how much she emotes with such subtle changes in her expressions.

And then, UMA THURMAN. So beautiful and young (neither dependent on the other). She's playing Cecille? I associate her most with her role as the Bride in Kill Bill and her famous street style so, of course, seeing her in this light was shocking.

If that wasn't enough, KEANU REEVES? Oh, he's playing Danceny. Look at him, and that hair. He may have played some eccentric characters but this one was the weirdest for me.

And then, the ever gorgeous Michelle Pfeiffer enters the scene. Always a favorite. I love her most as a villainous witch hellbent on eating the heart of a fallen star.

I'm gonna just be listing and being shocked over this cast. I'm writing in the way I discovered the casting. This is the benefit of not researching the movie beforehand. You get to be shocked again and again.

But the BIGGEST SHOCK TO ME - and exclaimed this aloud watching the film - DOCTOR WHO?????!!!! That's right. Peter Capaldi, the 12th Doctor is Azolan. I don't know what shook me more. The casting itself or seeing him so young and recognizing him.

And through all this shock, I'm thinking Vicomte le Valmant is very handsome and so familiar and yet, I couldn't place him. At this point, I look up the cast. He's John Malkovich?????

That's right. Pascal Sauvage is Vicomte le Valmant.

I'm still reeling so I will continue the rambling on the movie itself later.

I saw this when I was 12. I still remember it. I wanted to watch it again and I was so happy that Netflix had it.

Watching it now.

Let's talk a bit about Volume 4 of Love, Death and Robots and the previous seasons. (spoilers for Vol. 4 if you have seen it)

For Vol. 4, For He Can Creep stood out to me the most. It was funny, cute, wholesome but with a gothic atmosphere in a comics art style. The Other Large Thing was funny but it felt short, duration-wise.. 400 boys was interesting and it was the only one that felt long enough for me to take in the story. I usually like Robert Valley's works. Zima Blue is one of my all-time faves. Ice was one of my favorites from its volume. Spider Rose: I got a similar vibe as Beyond the Aquila Rift but the latter left me haunted for weeks. Isolation, and despair, denial in lightyears away from earth with a creature that was doing stuff with you without your consciousness. Ugh. Still gives me the creeps but it was soooo good. Spider Rose was similar but not as creepy. It was quite sad actually. Rose got her vengeance but didn't get to enjoy it much longer. There was a lot of information to take in and not a lot of time to feel it. Her husband died, leaving her with nightmares. I would have liked to see one more sequence of her having a nightmare. Because, she was suffering in one and the next, she decided not to use the syringe. It would have been cool to see her be more hesitant interacting with the creature initially and slowly warm up to it. I saw the montage of her bonding but she seemed quite open to it. In the end, she says that it helped her want to live again and personally, I didn't feel that revelation. It would have been nice to see that she didn't want to sell the creature but only when she was running out of oxygen, did she decide to let it go because she wanted what was best for it. They implied it during the video call but she seemed casual about it. In the end, I feel like the protagonists switched abruptly. Feels like it needed something. I didn't see one during this season but I really like Albert Mielgo's works. The Witness is underrated. Jibaro was cool too but people did ruin it a bit for me. I saw a little too many witches in reels and Tiktok videos and I don't even have a tiktok account. The repetition made me sick of it. But the work itself was truly amazing. I enjoyed seeing the bts making of of the story as well.

I want the feeling I got watching Doctor Who for the first time ever: discovering a whole universe with amazing concepts that are greatly executed with a good balance between suspense, intrigue, horror, and witty humor.

I keep watching the same things over and over again and i am bored.

I also binged Volume 4 of Love, Death and Robots on Netflix last night. I prefer the first one. I think I got a similar feeling watching that as well.

However, it's possibly available if you're in the US. One of the best shows ever with an original concept making room for more amazing concepts throughout the episodes. I've never seen anything like it.

Miss Fisher on Netflix (it's like Poirot but female. Love it. Very witty.)

Sherlock, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, and Martin Freeman on Prime. (One of my favorites.)

Psych on Netflix (So funny.)

Dead Boy Detective (So sad it got canceled after one season.) on Netflix

Lockwood & Co. (Intriguing at first but it got a bit too dramatic and emotional towards the end but you can check it out) also on Netflix.

Ghosts (American version) (so funny) on Netflix. Not very detective but problem solving involved with intriguing stories.

Cracow Monsters (such an intriguing concept and I really hope they make a new season soon) on Netflix. It's not very detective but full of mystery and fantasy.

Brooklyn 99 on Netflix. (Comedy series. It's pretty well-known like Friends or the Big Bang Theory but you never know. I didn't watch it until all the seasons except the final one were out.)

I binged the entire the final/fifth season of You on Netflix last night and here are my thoughts. After Season 4 (which I stopped watching halfway), I was relieved that this would be the final season. But this season was hella interesting. I was metaphorically on the edge of my seat! Literally, I was in the middle of my bed. This season was like a redemption from the previous one. It kept me on my toes. The character of Bronte was a good edition because I kept wondering,

Who is she and why is she here? What's her motive? What is she going to do next?

They played her mystery very well because I never trusted her or accepted her as just another naive girl that falls for Joe and randomly starts and affair with him. And even with that distrust, the twist still blew me away.

But first, I need to get this out of the way:

In the very last episode of the last and final season, after Joe has gone on the biggest and most violent rampage, and he's looking more and more like his innermost demon on the surface, the show decided to throw in Guilty as Sin by Taylor Swift as a soundtrack. I laughed so hard, I worried that I woke the neighbors. Are we supposed to think this is romantic? Is the show trying to gaslight us into thinking that during the final part to this series, when Bronte's eyes are about to pop out of her head with fear, that they are about ride off into the sunset together? And we still had several minutes left to go. Was it supposed to be "ironic"? The song title is Guilty as Sin but it's about daydreaming about a guy. Not about being guilty for murder or an accomplice. It just felt like an odd choice of song. But it gave me a moment of laughter. Probably the most I laughed while watching the entire series.

THE SITUATION

Joe has moved back from the London, England to Brooklyn, New York with his new wife, Kate. Kate has taken over her old company like her dad wanted and has gotten Joe his son back. You know, the one which he left with the couple in Madre Linda in Season 3. Yup, they just took him back from after leaving him.

As the flow of the show goes, things are going well for Joe in the first 5 minutes of the first episode but (we all knew) that wouldn't last. He still has that gnawing feeling of wanting to kill someone and does so by the end of the same first episode.

Kate has twin half sisters and a half brother. The twin half sisters are both played by Anna Camp (love her). Loved her performance in Pitch Perfect and I LOVE her performance in this series. More on her later.

One of the twins is focused, driven, bitchy, lashes out at people constantly with words, pretty unlikable overall. Her name is Raegan or Reagan. I think it's Raegan Lockwood. (right in black). The other twin clearly has self-esteem issues, is a party-girl ish, but is still intelligent, resilient and she's the nicer, kinder, sweeter one between the two, but she still has her issues. Her name is Maddie Lockwood. (left in pink)

Both of Kate's half-sisters are on the board of the company along with Kate's uncle, Rob.

Her half brother, Teddy Lockwood, is kind, and the most normal person in the entire season. And by normal, I mean that he isn't blood-hungry, or murder-prone. And he's also a good guy but he's overlooked and looked-down-on because Kate's father slept with his mom who was the maid.

Teddy is part of the company but not on the board but Kate is trying to get him on the board.

At an event, Kate blind-sides the entire board of her company, against her uncle's advice, but publicly announcing that they would donate a quarter of their profits. Because she didn't listen to him, Uncle Rob leaks her dirty secret to the news. The one where she covered for her Dad.

I say apparently because I was so unfocused watching the first half of Season 4.

Joe kills Rob — first in writing, and then for real. Both times, Kate is horrified. She sees, for the first time, how unhinged he really is. His bloodlust feels psychotic to her, and she expresses her fear with clarity and diplomacy, but her reaction is still too much for Joe to handle. Her feelings are valid (any sane person would feel the same), but Joe can’t tolerate anything that challenges his inflated, delusional view of himself. To him, the woman he once "loved" (who helped him kill and cover it up) no longer exists. He’s now fully embraced this violent version of himself - which to him is "romantic" - and expects Kate to do the same. When she doesn’t, he might feel a flicker of shame — but instead of facing it, he twists her fear into rejection. In his mind, if she doesn’t accept all of him, then she doesn’t really love him. That’s when she becomes a problem to him — an obstacle, a critic — and that’s the excuse he leans on when he starts cheating.

Love was really the right girl for him. She was too emotional for his liking but she saw that sick part of him and accepted him for who he was. But at that time, he hated that part of him so, he hated her. And now, he's all about embracing his dark side. To think, he only he had met Love Quinn later on. Right person, wrong timing. They both deserve life imprisonment but they were right for each other on paper.

Raegan is the main antagonist-ish in the beginning. She goes after Kate because she wants the board's votes and she crosses a line - she goes after HENRY, Joe's son. She got a child involved. So Joe wants to kill her, not that he needs the excuse. And Kate says no, causing a further drift between them. She expresses herself clearly, and her feelings are very valid. He expresses a psychotic, cold-blooded need for murder and she's scared. She has every right to be. I'm sitting here yelling at the screen, "DIVORCE HIM AND RUN." But she stays and keeps expressing herself. Of course, there's also the guaranteed mutual destruction because he knows a lot about her. She's complicit.

He starts romanticizing about Bronte/Louise who presents herself to be someone in need of protection. HIs superiority and hero complex LOVES what he sees and starts fantasizing about her. Call back to season 1. (you'll know when you see it)

I feel like the showrunners maybe wanted to do a full-circle. It started in Brooklyn, it ends in Brooklyn. I liked that. This season also had the same kick as the first season.

Season 1 was a great start. It was new, fresh and exciting. I loved Elizabeth Lail and Shay Mitchell. The dialogue was witty. The way season 1 was shot in Brooklyn, it felt very warm and inviting. I felt very sad when Guinnevere Beck died. I really liked her even though her character was effed up. I also really liked Peach. - as a character to watch, not as a person. But I was sad when those characters were killed off because they brought so much zest to the series.

Season 2 was still kinda good, mainly because it has an amazing cast with Jenna Ortega, Victoria Pedretti, and Ambyr Childers - they really carried the season aside from Dan. It felt less cozy. The show progressively got colder with each season until the final one. Season 3, I kind of blocked out.

This was the season I really, truly started to hate Joe. He was always a psycho but there was a sweet side to him. I was able to detach and see him as a character and the confused side that wanted to do good made me not hate him as much. It was like, he deserves to be put away but he's also so confused. He's pathetic and I feel bad him. However, Season 3 turned him from confused killer with a twisted reality to every douchebag that cheats on their wife and rationalizes it ON TOP of being a murderer. And I stopped detaching and started seeing him as a character I wanted dead. I was like fuck him.

Season 4. I don't know where to begin. I'm not sure what it was about season 4. It felt like the end of every tv series that had been on the air for a little too long. The point where the actors seem sick of it. It felt that way to me. At that point, I was sick of seeing Joe wrestle with his inner demons. It was more outlandish too the way Kate was involved in killing as well and covering up for Joe, and being so nonchalant about it. I was like wtf. I didn't like her. In fact, I hated her as much as Joe.

Season 5 felt like the redemption after season 4. Joe was peak douchebag. He sheds his past confused self. Now, he is sure of himself. He did the work, and after his brief moment of self-hatred, he came out the other end of that self-reflection not as a better man, but as a worse one. He represented every serial killer, and rapist in real life. He was appalling. I mean, hats-off to Dan Humphrey. He gave a solid performance. It was amazing. I couldn't wait to see him caught, put away, or tortured. I would have loved to see him try to lie in court and lose. Just like a worm hit by salt.

The reason I say that season 5 was so good was because of the momentum of the plot and how it builds overtime. The reveal of Bronte's identity, her confusion and relapse, it was so well-executed. However, when Bronte pulled a gun on him, it was frustrating. She was a bad actress. Bronte. Not Madeline Brewer.

I have a lot more to say but I'll leave it as this for now. I just had some word-vomit to write down before I forgot. I'll update more later. I still want to talk about Anna Camp's performance. I want to delve more into the plot point and Bronte's character. And a lot more other stuff. But I have to get back to my project.

I really enjoyed this last season. I'm still glad the series overall is over. It's an interesting concept showing us how the mind of a psycho works and how twisted his truth is. But perhaps because of the dark theme of the show, I felt like 5 seasons was way too long. I mean I can watch 10 seasons of B99 and it doesn't feel enough. I feel as though seasons 2 to 4 or maybe 3 and 4 could have been 1 season? I can see what they were trying to do.

Season 1 = delusion

Season 2 = further delusion + rude awakening

Season 3 = self-hatred

Season 4 = self-acceptance

Season 5 = taking it too far + consequences

I've heard of this series many times. I first learned about it watching Big Bang Theory. And one day, very randomly, Youtube started showing me reels of Weeping Angels. Between the utterly hauntingly creepy and amazing concept of statues that hunt you only when you're not looking and David Tenant as Doctor Who, I was sold. Long story short, I am obsessed.

I haven't seen the classics from the 1920s. I watched starting with the ninth doctor on Prime. I would describe it as the most British thing I've seen so far. I've seen British films but usually adapted to American English I think. I've never seen a series with dialogue where half of it is British slang or exclamations that I don't understand but it's also the charm of it.

Started the binge with the ninth doctor, first of all, I loved the first episode with the mannequins: the found the first episode immediately intriguing. The outfits, the colors, the terrible quality of the camera, oversexualizing Rose even when she's already gorgeous, all that screamed early 2000s and made me feel very nostalgic. Despite how dated the season was, the premise of the show, the concept and storyline are still some of the best stories I've ever seen to this day. I understand the craze.

I also had a fear of space, the vast dark emptiness and the concept of Aliens have never been my favorite. I can do ghost stories, and creepy stories and I was never against the idea of aliens but I've never gotten their appeal either. But after watching Doctor Who, I now like the genre of space and aliens but perhaps if it's exclusively Doctor who.

Christopher Eccleston's Doctor was very rough and gritty. I was not expecting. In fact I was not expecting Christopher Eccleston as Doctor Who at all. I was expecting David Tenant. But he had an appeal and I missed him when he went away. But David Tenant. Come on. The most memorable episode during the ninth doctor's season was probably the one where Rose decides to go back and save her father. That was so sad. I felt for her. The one where they were stranded on the space ship was also very chilling and it would be the first of the series that would chill me to my bones. The other one is when they were at the edge of the universe and the Doctor gets possessed and mimicked. What else. The last lady from planet earth where she's only skin pulled together was also quite memorable and lowkey disgusted me.

The aliens were all so unique and well thought out.

A very underrated character and I wish we had more of him:

Moving on to David Tenant as the Tenth doctor.

My favorite episode of the season was the Girl in the Fireplace. Even aesthetic wise, so so so so so beautiful. I love French renaissance combined with clockworks. It's all so very royal steampunk and creepy and bittersweet. The storyline itself is so sad. This is why I was so obsessed with the series. The storyline alone is strong enough but combined with amazing concept and aesthetics and well thought out backgrounds for each character.

As much as I love David Tenant and his Doctor, Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor may be my favorite. (keyword: my so you know it's a personal preference. Don't come for me) He's as quirky and wonderful as David Tenant's Doctor but with more of a smile. He's like a warm cup of milk. And I love Amy Pond and how he treated Amy Pond like a daughter and a dear friend. He would always put his hand on her head like he sees her as the little girl abandoned. I love that little detail. Although Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor, Donna might be my favorite companion as much as I find Amy Pond adorable and LOVE Karen Glllan.

I repeat, my favorites: Eleventh Doctor and Donna

Professor Song.

First of all, how sad is their love story and also abrupt or rather rush through? I suppose it's part of the charm of the doctor and the series that their love story is not one that lasts forever or stable in a way and that it's not explored too deeply or as shown as often. It's very fitting with the concept of the Doctor. But still, I would have loved to have seen more of them together. I'm still confused as to when the Doctor fell for Prof. Song. Liking Matt Smith and the Doctor meant that I would be rather possessive of him. So, when Prof Song made her second appearance as his wife, after introducing herself to David Tenant's Doctor, a part of me was reluctant to accept her as his love interest. However, Alex Kingston and Matt Smith's chemistry was off the charts. She sold me on her part. She's an amazing actress especially considering that she didn't even know about her character's backstory when she made her first appearance and really sold how sad she was about their love story. Matt Smith also plays cheeky and flirty very well. They just worked really well together. And i love their witty banter.

Speaking of good chemistry, David Tenant and Catherine Tate were phenomenal in the episode with the adipose. Ugh. I know they're supposed to be cute but perhaps it was the sound effect. They grossed me out and creeped me out too! They were so hairless. Euhhhh. It's the same feeling I get seeing this one radish character with beady little eyes. Idk the name. But the Doctor and Donna Noble, mainly the two actors playing them, were so freaking amazing together. I loved the little "this is genius" moment they shared while taking down the production of the adipose. Ugh. I need to say ugh every time I mention the adipose. Ugh. Note that I'm squirming irl at the mention of them.

This right here was one of the funniest moments in the series. I couldn't stop laughing and kept going back and repeating the part just so I could laugh again.

BTW, were the Doctor and Clara or Claire a couple? Idk how I feel about that. It's weird enough (even though I was later convinced) that the Doctor has a wife but a human girlfriend? And someone so young. Idk how to feel about it. I think post- Amy Pond, it just felt very very very sad. Even though I liked the episodes with Clara, especially the snowmen episode, I felt sad. Perhaps because the doctor felt sad too? But the tones just got heavier and heavier. Especially when he died. I was like wtf.

The twelfth doctor's season continued the heavy feeling I had. The concept that the robots kept trying to replace their own parts for no reason, the doctor being so confused, Clara not accepting him, all the storylines felt sad. I could barely sit through it. It definitely lost the lightness it had with Matt Smith or David Tenant's season.

The ninth was rough around the edges. The tenth was lighter but still had teeth. The eleventh was comforting and sweet. And then the twelfth was really going though something.

I did like the episode with the love story between the Doctor and River Song finally meeting for the first and last time. This episode also appeared in one of the Youtube reels and made me want to watch as well. I liked how the Doctor felt jealous but also questioned River Song's feelings toward him. It gave me taste of their relationship, a deeper look that I wanted.

Specials.

Wild Blue Yonder

was something else! Like holy sausage. It was so creepy. I loved it so much. I loved that they brought back David Tenant and Catherine Tate first of all. That was wonderful itself. The storyline was so sad and beautifully executed and revealed. It kept me on my toes the whole time. It was perfect.

The forgot the name of the special but I was very surprised to see Neil Patrick Harris on Doctor Who and yet, it made sense. Funhouse horror fun. Again very creepy but the best part was how they introduced the fifteenth doctor. I liked how he made the TARDIS his own. I also like the idea that David Tenant's Doctor lives on.

Currently watching the latest Doctor Who on Disney+. So far, the camera work is confusing me a bit tbh. The former series, even the ninth doctor version with the camera quality of 2005, each shot had its purpose and made sense. I'm watching The Church on Ruby Road and wondering, "why the close up on the key when she's entering the house?" Also felt like the Christmas tree takes up too much space in the foreground and the glittery shimmering lights are attracting my attention too much. I don't know. I was looking forward to seeing Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor because I really liked him on Sex Education and he definitely has the quirky joyful charm of Doctor Who. But the first episode's shots have fully grabbed my attention and made me wonder, what is happening with these shots?

I almost called him the fourteenth doctor because I haven't seen the Thirteenth Doctor's season. It is neither on Disney+ nor on Prime in my current location. I was actually looking streaming platforms that had the season.

E1 Happy New Year: OK OK OK OK (I'm saying this in Peele's voice from the Ok skit)

I was going to create one blog per Season but these episodes deserve their own blog.

So glad all their secrets are out and they finally have true trust and can function as a team but it was slightly childish but I'm not complaining because I love it.

E 1-6: Robin in this series is more tolerable than Robin from Teen Titans. He's obsessed with being the leader as always but he actually accepts that Aqualad is more suited to be their team leader. That was a surprising twist. I thought there would be an endless power struggle. Aqualad was obviously going to be the eventual leader because he's always the one that keeps calm while everyone acts juvenile, and he focuses on the mission. And he officially took the role, or 'burden,' when he took command and told the team what steps to take in E4 Drop Zone. But I absolutely love that Robin gleefully points out that since he's the leader, it would also be his responsibility to report the outcome to Justice League. That was so in-character for Robin. He accepts it but he has to rub it in a bit. M'gaan is like Starfire from the Teen Titans series; very sweet and charming and bubbly, a little boy-crazy, and green, but with Raven's powers and wardrobe. Artemis grew on me but I didn't like her vibes initially and idk why. Maybe because she was keeping a secret and was hella sus. I wondered if she would be like Terra. Kid Flash is what you expect him to be. He's the jokester of the group who rises to the occasion when needed. He's like the Beast Boy of the group. Superboy is like the Incredible Hulk of the series but he looks like Kevin from Ben 10 and M'gaan kinda looks like Gwen.

During these first episodes, new characters are introduced and the team is kinda finding themselves a bit. It's relatively kid-friendly and lighter than the later episodes. It's like the first two films of the Harry Potter franchise. One thing I love is seeing supervillains and characters I know from the Teen Titans like Lex Luthor, the Brain and the Gorilla, aside from Robin himself.

E7 Denial: I love episodes with magic and tarot. This 106-year-old man enters a tarot reading shop and obviously, the tarot reader is a fraud. But the man gets kidnapped by Alexandro from a 90's love novel cover and tortured. That's right, tortured while a kid with devil horns watches and claps. This was dark. So, the kid is God of Chaos, and an absolute menace, and he's trying to steal the gold helmet which anchors the God of Order. I could go on and on about how goooood the fight sequences are for each episode...and I'm going to. But this one left me speechless. I have no words for how good this was. It has Charmed vibes, with some Gods included as well. This is one episode I won't spoil because my emotions are overwhelming my ability to articulate.

E8 Downtime: The Queen is *insert fire emoji* She is the coolest. She (I don't know what this is called but I'm assuming) astral-projects a giant Octopus, a Stingray and Electric Eels. I mean, I want to be her. The fight sequences were epic. Unbelievable. The Princess was cool too. I knew instantly when Garth said, "you have to tell him," that he meant they were dating. Otherwise, Aqualad wouldn't have a reason to stay on land. TBH, I suspected the King's bro to be behind the intrusion. But I love this episode. Mostly for the fight scenes and also because it reinforces Aqualad's character and why he's fit to be a leader. He walks away. He wishes them well and walks away. Show me any character that's fit to be a leader who doesn't accept losing a loved one to another love interest and remains classy. He has Captain America vibes.

E9 Bereft: The team has lost their memories and are scattered across the desert. They cut from one character to the next showing how each member deals with the circumstances. M'gaan is the first one shown, she wakes up and doesn't remember how she got on Earth to begin with. Young Robin seems to adapt very quickly, probably from years of working with Batman. I love that they showed that. M'gaan finds Superboy, and he has reverted back to his beast form. Megan is the first one to get hers back by tapping into them Confucius style. The young arrow girl Artemis is awaken by Speedy a.k.a Kid Flash. They also have fantastic chemistry. She stops to shoot arrows at the tanks and he carries her away from the danger. It was so sweet. Later the four meet and Megan gives them back their memories. It's so funny that as soon as they regain their memories, Artemis and Kid Flash hate each other again. At this point, they realize that Aqualad is missing. They look for him, find him, and he's dehydrated obviously. Even before they found him, I was yelling that at the screen. They discuss flying him back to the ship and Megan is like, "No! Superboy (the nearly indestructible clone of Superman) needs me." and flies away. She was like he's hot and that's more important, and leaves the teams to drag Aqualad's body on a carney to the ship. Megan has a face off or mind off with the big brained dude...and wins. They bring the giant sphere tech that they rescued back with them. And the big brained dude is working for the "light." For supposed evil beings puppeteering a bunch of supervillains to do their dirty work for them, they were pretty mellow learning that big brain screwed up and lost the sphere. The series is hardly for kids. They show a 106-year-old man being tortured, lots of kissing with those wet smooching sounds, and yet, the supposed bad guys were like, "it's ok. Don't worry. You screwed up but we prepared more." They were like parents trying to comfort their kid.

E10 Targets: Why is Cheshire low-key sexy/hot? I'm here for it - expect for her hair when she puts on the mask. It creates a signature look for sure, but I hate it. It looks like she has the Scar-looking Lion mane from Hercules on her head. BTW, I'm sensing A LOT of chemistry between her and Red Arrow. I feel so toxic for shipping them but I do. Red Arrow is like Robin from Teen Titans: so hung up on being independent but he's a little more likeable, especially in this episode. I'm really excited to see Superboy and M'gaan in high school. As intriguing as the plotline is, I'm most interested in seeing how the Young Justice does in high school. I want to see more of it.

E11 Terrors: They finally kiss! Omg. It was hot! But also so funny because they were both disguised as brother and sister. I kind of like the Ice Kid. He's kinda pitiful. He seems like someone who would be nice if he were brought up in a different family. Unlike his sister, he didn't seem rotten to the core. He's still a criminal.

E12-13: I low-key hated episode 12 because of how lonely Artemis seemed. But the scene where she rescues the team; the slow-mo back flip and shooting of the arrow, ugh, soooo good. It's the one thing I remember from this episode. This is the first time I've seen the male Captain Marvel. He is bulky! and friendly. And at the end of episode 13, I find out why; It's a literal kid! That was so amusing. During this episode, they find out that Aqua kept a secret from them, to keep them from falling apart but, and I saw this coming, the fact that he kept this from them is what made them all run off in different directions. Every plotline needs that defining moment; first the team is trying to find their rhythm, there's conflict, they reach an understanding, it's harmonious for a while, but there needs to be moment that cements the leader's role and everyone else's in the team. And this episode seems to be that. The conflict that tests the team's faith and respect for Aqua as captain as well as his capability to lead. And now, things are gonna get serious!

E14: Shit is going down. Beloved supervillains like the Joker and Poison Ivy finally make their appearances. The team is headed to Gotham City in the Bio-ship but Lucius Malfoy brain-waves it down into the river.

E15 Humanity: They kidnapped Zatara's daughter Zatanna who is really pretty. And I feel like she has chemistry or grabbed the attention of Aqualad and Robin. They fight and Red Tornado tells them to play dead. And the red robot guy is like, "I have his memories and incredible strength, can't beat me," and Zatanna pulls on over on him because Red Tornado doesn't have her moves on file. And she shuts the robot's eyes and flirts with Robin. I'm like, "Focus people focus!" They're fighting a villain whose strength surpasses their own and they're flirting.

This scene is so sad. Those epic moments in Avengers that make me want to burst with tears, this was one of them but for DC. Them slowly melting away, sacrificing themselves to pull Torpedo down, plus the music. And to top it all of, Torpedo says "father would be so disappointed." Ugh. Tug on my heartstrings why don't you.

Ironically, while they look down on humanity, their flawed logic, Torpedo's complex need to kill is father and yet somehow still carry out his wishes in death, and how quickly they changed their minds makes this one of the most human moments of the series. And now, I understand why it's named "humanity."

Aside from that, I am shipping Robin and Katanna.

They really nailed the wholesome vibe of Captain Marvel in this and the fact that it's a child underneath the bulky, mature exterior makes me chuckle, every time, every appearance.

E16-17: I knew it. M'gaan is dangerous af. I get they're passionate, hormonal teenagers in a way but Superboy and M'gaan are annoying me in Failsafe. Sphere is so cool. I'm glad she got to stay on earth. Imagine showing how cool she is and then taking it away.

E18: What in the supernatural? Is that a ghost? An actual ghost? I love this plotline. It was a nice episode for Halloween. A different vibe from the previous episodes. It had that eerie charmed, witchcraft vibe to it. I like that. It was refreshing and nice break after the gravity in the previous episode(s). Oh, and Justice for Shazaam! Poor kid wanted to join the party and they were like, "oh, you're partying on your own?" I wish he could have gone. So sad.

E19 Misplaced: The adults have vanished. I love that Robin advised Zatanna to "stay whelmed." I love that and I'm gonna use it semi-regularly from now on. There's a child crying the car and Superboy rescues him and then the baby is wearing a onesie with a Superman logo on it. He touches the Superman logo on Superboy t-shirt. It was a sweet little moment that deserved an "awwww."

Side note: This has more to do Netflix than Young Justice I presume but, when they showed the Young Justice League streaming in Foreign (to the US) countries such as France and China in their native languagesm the subtitles read [incantation]. They said "protègez-les" ("Protect them") and the subtitle says "Incantation." So funny.

This series is so well-made so far, it's really like the Harry Potter franchise, and the avengers franchise. It has a nice balance between action and thrill and wholesome sweet moments, between humor and heaviness. I'm watching Supernatural simultaneously and so far, I'm on season 5 and it has gotten sooooo unbelievably heavy that I'm not sure how or if I can finish all the way through to season 15! It feels like the final season already. Oof. Anyways, back to Young Justice.

E20 Coldhearted: Speedy is a Sagittarius it seems. I think not sure. It's is birthday and everything is going so well for him so I thought that he's in a coma induced dream. The team "surprised" him after he kept hinting at it, (sounds exactly like my Sagittarius friend) and made two cakes. When he asked what they would eat, M'gaan very calmly said that they would split the cupcake. That is so cute! Artemis is very jelly of M'gaan. It's fair. She's dating Superboy whom Artemis was into when they first met, and she also has the attention of Speedy. I love how focused Robin is on Katanna. Love a loyal man boy ew person. I'm not sure how to rave about this episode besides reciting the entire plotline. Kudos to KF for thinking of saving the girl despite his short attention span, which makes sense now seeing that he's a Sagittarius. And Lucius Malfoy has had his diplomatic immunity revoked and has been sent away to Belle Reve prison. The ending of the episode suggests that the ice family is gonna break free and reek ice cold havoc soon. I'm intrigued.

E21 Image: Batman shows Canary a video of Conner aka Superboy fighting her and then kissing. Canary's look-a-like hubby is mad until the Canary in the video shapeshifts and is revealed to be M'gaan. Understandably Canary is mad and talks to M about this. The latter is guilty. This is like those deepfakes.

The president of Qurac was once against Queen B and her harsh regime but is now, siding with her and has agreed to let her rule both nations as one. Considering the general theme of the episode, one can only assume that the President of Qurac is actually a shapeshifter while the real one is held hostage somewhere. If it weren't for the theme, he's probably brainwashed.

Aqualad is helping Aquaman so now Robin is logically the interim team captain and he's upset since everything that went down in Failsafe. Meanwhile, upon hearing the news KF goes to high five Robin. I love that in the beginning of the series, they were both fighting for the Captain space and now KF is so supportive of Robin and his former ambition while Robin is obviously still healing from the simulation in Failsafe.

For some reason, I never remember the chronological order of events in Pretty Little Liars and some scenes are just gaps in my memory. And then I watch it, and it all comes back to me. And then I forget again. It's probably the twists and turns the series took in revealing A. I feel like soooo many people were A at different points in the series. So, I decided to watch it again for the 5th time, I think.

The first time I watched it, I was about 15 or 16 years old. Back then, Spencer was my favorite because she was the smart one. I also liked Hanna mostly because my sister liked her. Aria was ok. I remember thinking that she always looked petrified and I couldn't stand Emily because she was always doing things that got herself and the people around her in trouble.

8 years later, let's see how my thoughts differ.

My first impression is that Spencer is an awful sister. She gets together with her sister's boyfriends all the time. If either of my sisters did that to me, I would never forgive them. She has a complex against her older sister which I understand because her parents appear to favor her sister. They criticize her constantly and their approval depends on her achievements. More so her Dad than her Mom. I felt bad for her a bit because she worked so hard to get the barn house which she was promised and then her sister comes and they give it to her. It makes sense that her sister would get it because they're a couple but her parents could have handled it better. They could have talked to her first. "Hey, we know you worked really hard, and you deserve it but they're a couple. Let's give it to her while she visits and then you can have it." Of course, if that happened, there wouldn't be a plot. But that's no reason to kiss her sister's boyfriend. I also found her to be quite obnoxious. She's so convinced that Toby was A. I get that they're all paranoid because they're being stalked and blackmailed. But the way she talked about Toby was unbearable. And it's kinda funny because she pulls a 180 and ends up with him. I kinda ship Spencer with Alex (Santiago not Drake) more than with Toby. I like that she could admit that she was wrong about Toby. But her tendency to rush to judgement is quite annoying to watch. I felt bad for her again when she went off on meds. The rest of the liars just blamed her and put everything on her when she was trying to get to the bottom of things. And then they just turned their backs on her collectively.

Aria is like the Pisces of the group. She kind of does her own thing. She's in a bubble of romance which is where her drama is centered and she doesn't get into the friend drama as much as the other three. But when she does, she gets really cold and harsh. I kind of like her character; she's very caring towards her mom and her brother. She's loyal to Ezra. She's not super annoying. Again, there wouldn't be a plot if this were the case, but I just wish she made better love choices. I feel like she kind of flies under the radar compared to the other three. Most of her drama revolves around and kind of highlights two other characters which are Ezra and her Dad, both of whom I hate! I feel like she got with Ezra because of father issues. Firstly, her Dad sucks. He sucks. He cheats with a student no less. And when he finds out that his daughter trashed his office pretending to be his mistress, he has the audacity to get angry. She was young and he was right to discipline her but it's his fault. And accusing his wife, whom he cheated on of walking out on him. Umm is she supposed to stay? I rate him fourth on the list of annoying af characters. He's surpassed by the three A's who are psychos. And Ezra. Ezra, Ezra, Ezra; it's bad enough getting together with a high school student (which is not hot unless you are the high school student or a perv), he's also deceptive; writing that book, and he, the adult, gets mad at Aria because he thinks that she spilled and has the audacity to say, "I thought you could handle this." And he ignores her constantly. He's like that toxic, emotionally unavailable ex that breadcrumbs you with the added zinger of being a pervy older teacher. The only reason it might get overlooked is because most of the series is explored through the lens of four teenagers, and because Ian Harding plays him. Put any other actor who's not pretty in his place, there's nothing charming about his character, aside from him defusing a situation at school but that's it.

Hanna is the former fat girl turned it girl. She has a complex with being formerly fat, and maybe feelings of inadequacy which she links to being fat due to being bullied for it by Allison. Again, she also has father issues but it's actually explored compared to Aria. She was the most interesting to watch. She's blunt, tells it like it is, and so avoidant. The last part was the main reason it was so hard to watch her. She constantly shuts down during conversations. I kind of related to her in that sense but it's so annoying. I can see why because both of her parents are exactly the same way. Her mom is a lot like Emily in the sense that she does the most outrageously stupid things and tries to cover it up. She constantly shuts down when Hanna tries to ask her and then, there's her Dad. I hate her Dad too. He left them and then came back with his new family just to rub it in their faces. And then he expects Hanna, the daughter he left, to treat his new stepdaughter nicely. And is quick to jump to conclusions and HE gets mad at her and ices her out. Worst Dad of the year award. I change my mind. At least Aria's dad stayed to take care of the kids. He takes the cake. Hanna's mom getting dressed when he was about to take Hanna out to dinner was sad and hard to watch. But she is pretty badass in the sense that she's determined to raise Hanna on her own and does everything she can to protect her. I respect that about her. But Aria's mom is the best followed by Spencer's mom. I feel like Hanna needs therapy, they all do, but she needs it to communicate better.

Emily - the one thing I remember about Emily is the constant worried expression on her face. I don't remember any other expression other than that one. She got her mom suspended by stealing a key. She gets drunk (justified because she was mourning Maya plus she was roofied) and then finds herself standing over a grave with a shovel. When Spencer tells her to burn everything, she's like "everything?" And I'm like "yes b. What do you think?" She constantly dismisses Spencer, very emotional and just so helpless. And I cannot believe that she got with Paige who not only was a mean bully but actually tried to drown her. WTF. The one person that always had her heart was the awful Allison. But she still went after Paige because she was the "safer" choice I guess. I find her a lot less annoying than when I was 15 but I still find her irritating.

Four years after the series ended, I'm finally binging it on Prime. I lose attention when a series is on break for too long. AOT for example; I loved it so much but I still haven't seen the last season. Back to supernatural.

The main reason I wanted to write this is because I wanted, nay, needed to share my feeling on Season 2 Episode 22: All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2's ending. I'm gonna get to reviewing the rest of the series after I finish binging it but, for now, I wanted to say that the series hasn't made me want to cry until this episode; John Winchester's return was so unexpected for me and so moving. I said "awwwwwww" aloud, and then I started screaming "yes" and cheering for him. I should have known that nothing too tragic would happen to the brothers because so far, every episode ending has skipped out on separating the brothers for no longer than one episode. But I really thought that Dean would be whisked away to Hell, and that we would see him suffer for the first three episodes of Season 3 while Sammy figures out a way to get him back. Maybe I'm just projecting the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina onto this series.

Aside from that, I love the creepy undertones of the series but it's never too scary that I can and am watching it all alone in my room.

Watching Season 3 now. It feels like they got some budget and/or upgraded the equipment. Season 1 and 2 had this very 2000s horror film desaturated harsh sepia tones. It was giving Texas Chainsaw Massacre poster. Season 3, the quality is better, it's more HD, the colors are still dark but more natural. And the theme song/intro got a nice update as well.

Right now, Dean is yolo-ing since he has the contract with the demon. It's very funny. Seems like I was right in predicting a very old series that's ended. But it seems like Dean will be going to hell by the end of the season.

One question that I've had since the first few episodes is how do they get paid? They always state that this job that they have doesn't pay them. But they need a job somehow. How else would they eat or stay at the motels. So, what are their jobs? They're on the road all the time. Who pays them?

I recently saw 3 new movies. (Well, "recently" as in starting from 2023)

Wonka (2024): The Oompa Loompa was the best part! Can't stop dancing to the song. I admit, I was worried that the movie would be corny. At the same time, I was (cautiously) optimistic because it was starring Timothee Chalamet and, he is a good actor so I knew that, if nothing else, his performance would be good. I don't want to spoil too much. I will just recommend it. Speaking of Timothee Chalamet...

Dune Part 2 (2024): I saw it in the theaters and did not disappoint, aside from the part where the movie was dubbed in French. I didn't mind but my sister did. It was hilarious... because it didn't happen to me. I rewatched Dune Part 1 to remind myself because I completely forgot that I had watched it and didn't remember until the end of the movie. Beautifully shot. So witty. I wanted to cry because of how amazing the movie was. And of course, the cast being who they are, wonderful acting. I do have a bias for Zendaya but with good reason - she is just a wonderful, wonderful actress and as a bonus, she is gorgeous. Timothee Chalemet's presence. Woo! I saw him in a whole new light. I mean, I already thought he was very good looking and I liked him as an actor. But that role as Paul really made me want to crush on him. But I won't because he's in a relationship and I don't crush on people in relationships.

Lisa Frankenstein!!!!! (2024) starring Cole Sprouse. So witty and funny. Very dramatized. It was giving Heathers. So macabre and dark that it was ridiculous but that's why I loved it so much. There was something very comforting about the film. Which may sound sick if you actually see the movie but I mean comforting in the sense that it reminded me of old films that I loved like Heathers and Jawbreaker. Both actors played their roles so well, that it made me cringe.

A Shop for Killers (2024) on Disney+. I subscribed to Disney+ solely for the purpose of watching this series. I mean, Lee Dong Wook; need I say more? I almost stopped watching through Episode 4 because Jeong Jianman was dead and I was like "What is the point of watching if LDW is dead?" But Episode 5. I don't want to be that gross person but if I'm being honest, the amount of testosterones in that episode made me want to jump into the screen. LDW - even his shadow is handsome and sexy. Ugh. All the actors playing the mercenaries were sexy. The action sequences were fantastic. And I love the main character too. I love how the film shows the character going through the motions as she finally faces a situation that's out of her league, something that she's only ever trained for in theory. Most Korean movies, not all but a majority, will make the main character so badass, so flawless, that it sometimes gets corny. I still enjoy those series too. But watching a character who's still very badass lose in a fight adds a sense of realness to the character. She still wins at the end of the day but, she takes a lot of punches from a giant dude. Giant relative to her. It's realistic. I'm glad I kept watching it as the series kept getting more interesting each episode. There were a few scenes that went on for a while and made me lose interest but the last episodes are worth the watch.

Poor Things. My initial reaction was that it was brilliant!!! I loved Bella Baxter and found her very inspiring. I was feeling very stuck post-breakup when I watched the movie, and seeing her view life in such a curious and wonderous way made me want to get off my a** from moping do the same. I loved how the world was designed to show us how Bella viewed it which was very bright, magical and big in the beginning as she first ventures out into the world and gets more and more realistic towards the end. (Realistic being relative here) The conversations were unhinged, witty and very insightful. My seconds thoughts on the film were that it is sick when you think about how she has the brain of a child in the beginning, which can be easily overlooked because you're watching Emma Stone who is an adult. But the film portrays how some people in powerful positions take advantage of young and naive people. In the end, the takeaway the film is that it has an empowering message; Bella Baxter prioritizes her freedom and chooses to live her life the way she wants to (although, I probably won't be doing the same as her, I appreciate the message), kindness, and education above all else, so I still recommend it.

One of my all-time favorite films and the best rendition of the children's tale. I watched this for the first time when I was 10-years-old. I wanted to be Wendy and look as beautiful as Rachel Hurd Wood, and I had a huge crush on Jeremy Sumpter as Peter Pan. I watched it again yesterday on Netflix. Here are my thoughts. But first, the dreamy visuals that make me feel like I'm 10 again dreaming of dancing with fairies in Neverland:

As a kid, I focused on wanting to go to Neverland. As a (somewhat) grown up, I focused on how bittersweet and relatable their story was. The conversations and their subject lines are more mature than the character's ages. During the fairy dance, Peter says to Wendy, "Why do you spoil everything? We have fun, don't we?" It is so much like the situationships or one-sided relationships with which we become familiar as young adults. Wendy is 13. As a 13 year old, I would have never thought to have the conversation Wendy had with Peter. (I was eating 4 burgers and watching Peter Pan.) She chose growing up (what she wanted) and essentially herself over her love for Peter. And that takes courage because she did love Peter. It took me 25 years to do what Wendy did at age 13. I love her character with a deeper appreciation now.

One thing I didn't notice before was the credibility of the costume and makeup:

I like that she doesn't look airbrushed here. She really looks like she came back from the forest. I also appreciate how the director dramatized some scenes, like the way John's face literally turns red when Tiger Lily gives him a kiss. It adds a cartoonish and playful side to the movie. It's also funny and heartwarming.

The directing and the acting were so good. Even watching the movie, (omg) 20 years later, I still feel the happiness Pan feels when Wendy kisses him and he soars in to the sky. It's contagious. Also, Wendy laughing as Peter leaps up while screaming, it adds a cheekiness to it. It really represents the butterflies of first love and a first kiss so well. The musical score was perfect as well.

It's always nice to rewatch old favorites and see how our feelings change or remain the same. Although at 25, I no longer (thank goodness) imagine myself as Wendy or being with Peter Pan, the feelings of a first love, a first kiss, the butterflies we get, the inability to control/regulate or comprehend one's feelings, or properly communicate them, and lastly, choosing to be responsible with your future over being with someone you love but still someone who can't give you what you need, all of these things are very relatable and probably why the film is a classic.

It remains one of my all-time favorite movies. 💖✨️🧚🏼‍♀️

If you're as vindictive as I am but still like a happy ending, these maybe for you. (Don't worry, I've never actively tried to ruin someone's life irl...yet)

So, whether you want to kick back with a relaxing series about revenge/murder or you want to take notes for your own revenge, here's a list of series about revenge/solving mysteries that I've watched recently:

1. Taxi Driver (2021-) starring Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, Bae Yoo-ram

I mean, it's starring Lee Je-hoon. Need I say more? Ok fine. He's an ex-militant that had a loved one murdered. He groups together with like-minded people that seek revenge but for other people who are experiencing similar pain as they are. It's thrilling but also ridiculous, funny, goofy, and very satisfying. i.e. The good justice-seekers always win. I mean, what they're doing to get justice puts them in a gray area at best. But still better than the soulless that they go after.

2. Bulgasal: Immortal souls starring Lee Jin-wook, Kwon Nara, Lee Joon, Gong Seung-yeon, Jung Jin-young, Park Myung-shin, and Kim Woo-seok

3. The Untamed starring Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo

Based on the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, Wei Wuxian's spirit is summoned 16 years after his death to seek revenge for the summoner. On his quest, he unravels the common enemy that was responsible for his own demise. The theme starts with revenge but it's so much more than that. If you love slow-burn love and chemistry bursting through the screen without uttering a single word, this is for you.

4. Birth of a beauty starring Han Ye-seul, Joo Sang-wook, Jung Gyu-woon, Wang Ji-hye and Ha Jae-Sook

Sa Geum-ra, played by Ha Jae-Sook, is kindhearted and overweight (this is a plot point) housewife that's married to Jung Gyu-woon's character, Kang Joon. The latter is cheating on the former with Wang Ji-Hye's character. Long story short, she loses weight to win back her husband's affections but ends up seeking revenge because... find out for yourself. It's funny, ridiculous and goofy and the plot kept me at the edge of my seat. The series does drag a little during the last three or so episodes. The plot is mainly based on revenge, infidelity, and fat-shaming. As someone who grew up being dubbed "fat," "pig" etc. even when I wasn't and later when I eventually was, Sa Geum-ra's pain of feeling unlovable simply because of her size was something I related to greatly. Which leads me to my next recommendation:

5. Switched starring Kaya Kiyohara and Megumi Seki

Kaya Kiyohara is Ayume whose body gets switched with that of Megumi Seki's character. The latter is the "invisible" archetype while the former is the popular, pretty girl. This series explores an interesting perspective (mindset) that challenges that of Birth of a Beauty.

6. Cafe Minamdang

I loved the goofy satire elements of this series. And the ending was satifisfying but admittedly, sometimes the episodes had a tendency to drag the plot on and I had moments when my attention was elsewhere. But I still recommend it.

7. Girl from Nowhere starring Chicha "Kitty" Amatayakul as Nanno

Nanno seems to be an entity of some sort (think Eris, Goddess of Chaos) that infiltrates school after school after school while seeking "social justice." Nanno doesn't pick sides but it has a righteous tone "holding up the mirror to hypocrites." The overall theme isn't evident until about 3 episodes later. Kitty gives a truly enchanting performance as Nanno.

8. The Glory starring Song Hye-Kyo, Lim Ji-yeon

How could I possibly forget the Glory? But I did while writing this list. However, it is one of the best series I've watched. I've liked Lim Ji-Yeon since her movie Obsessed starring opposite Song Seung-Hyeon. She was so natural and convincing that as much as I liked Lim Ji-Yeon, I hated her character so much. Unpopular opinion: While I really like the actor Lee Do-hyun as well as his character, I feel like I could've done without the latter in the movie. His character was really sweet towards Song Hye-Kyo's Dong-eun and very supportive. Bf material, he accepted her with all her flaws. That's all a girl can ask for. However, I feel like his character had nothing to do with the main story and that I would have been fine if he weren't in it.

9. Celebrity

The revenge plotline comes much later. But each episode was so enticing and left me at the edge of my seat. However, they dragged the plotline in the later episodes and the ending was a bit disappointing. So this is on my recommendation list but with a grain of salt.

10. Flower of Evil

I have to admit, I used to be a bit biased when it came to Spider-Man. The first movies with Tobey Maguire were my favorites and I wasn't very open-minded when the newer versions were released. Despite liking Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, I didn't like that they made the Amazing Spider-man when they did. I was like "Why mess with the original?" Anyways, my thought process and general way of thinking changed when I entered my 20s. I don't remember the Amazing Spider-man, so I need watch that again. I do remember that it had a very sad ending with Gwen dying and I remember not liking that. I was more open-minded after the Avengers and the new movies with Tom Holland came out. But I never got around to actually watching them. I still haven't seen Homecoming. Gonna do that tomorrow after I get a good night's sleep. I watched Far from Home for the first time today on Netflix and it was EPIC!

No Way Home piqued my interest the most, obviously there's Tobey Maguire but also of course, the entire concept itself is genius. Creating a multiverse where all three Spider-mans exist in different timelines. I unconsciously had a lot of expectations for the movie.

I felt bad a lot for Tom Holland's Peter in this one. Like Doctor Strange put it, the kid has been through a lot! And now, he was about to be put through even more stuff. Luckily, he had two other friendly neighborhood Spider-mans to help him. That was a great moment when the other two Peters were just hanging on the rooftop like a regular chimp on a treetop. It was lowkey cool!

I had some freak out fangirl moments when Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield showed up. I even clapped. I was excited to see the villains as well. When Dr. Otto Octavius showed up, it felt like seeing an old friend again. My heart was beating fast when the Green Goblin showed up. I knew he was coming, still exciting. I mean, I haven't seen him since the FIRST movie. He's been gone a long time! Cameos as the dead vision don't count. He's alive! in this one. I think he was the scariest Spider-man villain. It's the voice.

I felt bad for the villains, compassion. Wow, script writers are all about enlightenment these days. Villains were humans once too, until they chose to turn into other beings and killed a bunch of people. I felt bad for the Spider-mans as well, having lost so many loved ones.

I know this was by design, but I feel the need to mention how poetic it was when Andrew's Peter saved MJ. I knew it was coming. It made the character's story come around full circle. He was also so adorable, constantly stating how he had always wanted brothers, telling them that he loved them. He was just lovable. I kind of wish that they would face-time him from across the universes.

I LOVE how mature Tobey's Peter is. There's just something classic about him. Like fine wine. I screamed out NO when he got stabbed but he lived. Phew. That would have been a bummer. A more interesting plotline, but a bummer.

Now, don't come for me MCU fans, but I was also a bit disappointed. Maybe because I expected so much. The idea of bringing all the villains and all three Spider-mans together, it's epic but also a lot of pressure. There was a lot of star power in this: Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Tobey Maguire, Jamie Foxx, Rhys Ifans, J. K. Simmons, Thomas Haden Church ... and yet, there was just something off about the way it was shot. Maybe it was the angles, but something felt awkward. Like the scene where Tom Holland's Peter rages and beats the $h*t out of the Green Goblin; I guess they wanted us to see the fight, but it could have been shot more dramatically than just the front angle. And then Tobey's Peter comes to stop him. Tom's Peter yielded a second too fast. Also, Peter paid ZERO attention to Ned after dating MJ even as he was about to be forgotten.

Btw, why does Zendaya or MJ remind me so much of Selena Gomez. More so, Alex Russo.

The scene on the statue of Lady Liberty was amazing, and beautifully shot. I loved when the three Peters talk normally before the villains come for them like it's just another Sunday. It was a nice little moment of relief which balances out the heavy, emotional scenes.

I really wanted to see the aftermath in the other universes. What happened to the villains? Norman Osborne? Without his evil counterpart, he's left with sanity and the guilt of what he did when his dark side took over. Does he go insane anyway? Does the amount of guilt drive him crazy? I also wanted to see Flint reunite with his daughter. What about Dillon? What becomes of him? And also Dr. Connors? Does he get put in jail? So many unanswered questions. Would have liked to see some scenes, even post-credits regarding that.

Overall, not a bad movie. A lot of moments to freak out over, the villains, the Peters, it was truly a treat for fans. But the hype of the crossover before the movie's release did ruin it a tad. I haven't seen Homecoming but so far, Far from Home is my favorite out of the trilogy.
