In an era where smaller crossover SUVs dominate, the Kia Sorento is one of the most successful vehicles out there right now. The Kia name has gained fame and trust to the point where the Sorento is one of the first names people think of when it comes to smaller SUVs. To get the most value out of a smaller SUV, you have to get as many seats in as small a package as you can. That’s why the Sorento does so well next to the competition.

How Many Seats Does the Kia Sorento Have?

From the outside, the Sorento looks like your regular crossover. It’s easy to imagine the inside having just the two front seats and a second-row bench, but that’s not true.

Despite being a relatively small vehicle, the Sorento has three rows of seating, not just two. That upgrades the seating capacity to seven. It would be eight, but the position of the wheels only allows for a two-seat bench in the back row. The middle row has seats that lean and slide forward to give access to the third row.
