Bones and Ashes
As the fire grew more and more, the strength of the flames did as well
Spreading from the top of the house, into the roots of the world
No one could stop the flame from spreading, not because they couldn’t, but because they didn’t want to
They needed to burn the house for it brought the memory of the time, they were once a family
When they truly love one another...
Until the rays of the sun came, and slowly disappeared into the night, with their beloved mother
Causing the family to shatter into a million pieces
They tried so many times to put all the pieces back together, but fail every time
Not realizing that their family was too broken, that even an angel couldn’t fix it
And as they all went their separate ways, they all look back one more time to one another
Slowly moving their sorrowful eyes into the flames of the house
And as they gazed upon the house, they watched their beautiful home turn into ashes
And a smile was created upon their faces, for the gratitude that they no longer have to play a role
Leaving the ashes into the roots of the world.
And the rays of the sun shone through the sky.

Mentor text for D. LopezÂ
My first rough draft at this new form of story telling. Here told was the story of Angel Serrano. Looking back at the process of this new journey I believe the hardest section of the project was accepting ones own voice. I do feel as if my voice is the only thing I will change. This being the first attempt I will publish the finished version soon.Â
