I know a lot of people headcanon that Axe/Horror/whatever you wanna call him adopts Aliza, but what if it was the opposite actually and Persimmon adopted Aliza? How would he react to Aliza trying to hook him up with our dear reader Hahaha

Persi adopting Aliza hmmm.....

He's definitely a great caretaker! As mentioned in my little sibling post he will go above and beyond even if it's to his own detriment. Aliza is well fed, clothed [even if it's second hand], and overall happy.

They're relationship isn't exactly like that of father and daughter. Don't get me wrong they are very close! But Aliza was already 12-13 when she fell into the underground so Persimmon hasn't actually been taking care of her for long.

as for Aliza trying to get reader with Persimmon.....

Her schemes aren't actually all that devious or complicated. She just hypes Persi up to reader about how he's so cool and so generous and literally the best guy ever. Maybe will go to her room to leave the two of you alone or something like that. She's subtle so Persi doesn't really react, he's too aloof to notice what's she's doing.

•Food is very special to him [for obvious reasons] so cooking has become an important part of his life. It became a second love language. He wants for food to go from something necessary for survival to something you can enjoy. Persi wants his meals to be perfect. He will go out of his way to make the best meal possible for the ones he loves [researching their favorite foods, buying the best ingredients, ect]. One day he wants to make a multiple hour multiple course Italian style FEAST for his friends and family.

•His braces are a nightmare. He's sporting some intense headgear. He kinda has too, some of his teeth were sticking out in ways that seemed impossible. Persi obviously really needs his braces, otherwise it's dentures-ville for him, but they are so annoying. He has a bad lisp, he can't eat popcorn, kissing is now harder!!! Persi can't wait to get them off but with how bad his teeth are it could take years.

Cinnamon: if he can't fall asleep in the first 2 hours then he just gives up on sleep for the night and plays point and click adventure games on his pc. He has itch.io bookmarked

Carnation: he likes to read in bed. It helps him sleep most of the time. Then again, his favorite genre is mystery-thriller so he does sometimes stay up till morning just to know what happens next.

cinnamon:

●He is NOT the super pure and innocent cinnamon roll [get it] everyone thinks he is. He fully knows what he's doing when he "fixes" your car [changes the oil] shirtless. Try to be nice and get him some water because it's hot out? Guaranteed he's pouring it on himself all dramatically for added effect.

●He actually really loves reading. Most of his books are comics/graphic novels not because he can't read books without pictures, it's just his preferred genre

●Related he is a MASSIVE super hero nerd. He prefers DC to marvel but that doesn't mean he has a healthy obsession with heros from both companies

●Eats cereal straight from the box then chugs milk just to save time

Carnation:

●His dirtiest Darkest deepest secret that nobody not even his brother knows is that he's a fan of warrior cats. Yknow the children's books of feral cats fighting all the time? Those ones. He even has a cat oc that he roleplays in online forums with.

●Once during a little mental breakdown he ate 4 entire tubs of ice cream. Not pints, tubs.

●Unrelated he can't eat cookie dough ice cream without hurling

●Often times when he has friends stay the night he sleeps in nice silk pajamas, and he sleeps just fine in them. But normally he sleeps in an animal onesie. His favorite is the kitty one [solid 70% chance he's a closeted furry]

Honey:

● Y'know the hoodie he wears all the time? it's not one hoodie. he has 20 identical ones that he swaps out every day.

●His brother will often kick him out of the house. not in the sense that he has to find somewhere else to live, but in the sense that he hasn't left the house in a week that his brother forces him to get fresh air. Honey normally just shows up at a friend's house unannounced when this happens instead of actually staying outside. He's actually really grateful his brother does this as otherwise he'd never leave the house.

●He used to snort pixie sticks in highschool "for the bit" and now has a permanently messed up sense of smell.

●He likes to collect teddy bears

Jam:

●Is such a big cat person he fosters strays. He's constantly covered in cat scratches because of this but he doesn't care.

●EXTREMELY scared of rollercoasters. He wont even stand near them.

●He owns a semi-popular movie review blog where he mostly reviews horror/sci-fi movies. He's actually really passionate about movies and especially special effects. If he watches a movie and there isn't at least one guy in a rubber suit or some kind of puppet he's leaving disappointed.

●He's a v-tuber fan

Persimmon:

●Love love LOVES walks in the woods. He will enter some woodland trail in the morning and return past dark with tales of his adventure. While the solitude is one of the things he likes about his walks, Persimmon wishes someone would go out with him. Though most people can't/won't stay out in the woods all day

●He really likes cute things and is a sanrio fan. My melody is his favorite.

●All of his clothes are handmade since most wont fit him. though he does have a few modified thrifted clothes. These clothes are super patchworky though. I personally think they look cute on him.

• world's biggest teddy bear. As long as he's made it clear that he likes you and really doesn't mind you can hug, cuddle, and squeeze him anytime anywhere.

• absurdly large appetite and fast metabolism. He can eat a whole large pizza by himself and still have room for dessert. It's a little scary how much he can eat

• despite eating so lunch he can't cook for shit. His diet consists pretty much entirely of take-out. Man's is not healthy

• used to smoke when he was a teen but quit pretty fast with the help of his brother

• he has a fursona and it is a possum

•sometimes when talking is just too hard he'll stare at you pathetically like a wet cat and hope you can somehow interpret what he wants

it's Carnation time! Everybody say hi.

Except maybe say hi from a distance, being bound in water in this au apparently made him more of a jerkface.

This specimen has a tail resembling that of a common male betta fish with mostly black coloration fading into a red gradient. Unlike the other specimen that mimics a domestic species this specimen is much more aggressive and is in fact the most aggressive specimen we house. This is attributed to the betta fish being an aggressive species in itself.

Due to the danger only highly trained professionals are to deal with this specimen and it is not to be located in the aquarium section of the facility. Even though there is a danger termination or release of the specimen is not possible due to mermaids of the skeletal variety being exceedingly rare and it being a miracle our facility has five already.

Yeah Carnation is a problem and a half. People have to sign waivers before working with him. You did do this because darn you want to work with mermaids and you're not going to be blocked off from one of them.

And then you became the main caretaker of Carn because you are the only person he doesn't try to maul. Extra work. Hooray.

Because of the drastic behavior shift around you, he is the only one people know for sure he sees as a mate as opposed to the other mermaids. [Who they all see you as a mate Carns just the most obvious about it]. And by God are they going to use this to their advantage. No more casualties yay!!!

Carnation is absolutely delighted that you spend the most time with him! He takes that as an acceptance of sorts. He gets horribly jealous when you spend time with the others because you are HIS human mate not theirs!! And if he knows you were of with the other mermen he will sulk like a toddler.

He will try to get close to you. Not to cuddle per-se but more just swim circles around ya. He'll also try to share his meals with you as that's what mates do! But yknow he eats mainly bug and fish mush so not really the most appetizing.

You are a biologist that recently got hired at a research center that doubles as an aquarium! This research center studies mermaids and specializes in Skeleton type mermaids, a current scientific mystery! [How do they move without muscles?? Huh? Wuh?] It's your job to take care of and study these creatures.

I hope you all know how horribly self indulgent this is because it's my dream to work at an aquatic research station.

Cinnamon: this specimen has a tail similar to that of a koi fish with mostly bright orange coloration with minimal white spotting. It is quite rare for a mermaid to resemble a domesticated species and this is theorized to contribute to the specimens friendliness.

Cinnamon is the one most often in the aquarium section of the research section simply because he's so friendly! He loves the attention! It's even a bit of a problem as he'll specifically try to get kids too close to pet him even though it's a safety hazard. [His tank has two stories, one can be seen from the top so that's how this is possible]. He'll do little flips and tricks and overall just be a jovial fellow! His tank is filled with toys as he needs the most mental stimulation or else he'll get stir crazy.

Now when you come along he cranks it up to 10. Not only is he trying to impress his friends,[he considers all aquarium visitors his friends] he's trying to snag a mate! The problem is he's not built for the kind of stunts he's trying to attempt. He's basically a goldfish, not a dolphin! He's gunna end up injuring himself! When the tricks don't work he trys to share his toys with you. Imagine him just swimming up to you all exited and handing you a rubix cube.

How would they do with an S/O who has cuteness aggression towards them? Like, roughly nuzzling into them or biting them seemingly out of nowhere? (Maybe not so rough on perci tho)

I have cuteness aggression myself so I've definitely thought of this. [I pretend to shoot my dog with laser eyes lol]

Cinnamon: oh buddy he has cuteness aggression himself. He's taking this as an okay to be Lovingly aggro himself. The problem is that he could tank damage simple damage from a human, but a simple human could literally explode if he put in some amount of effort. You are getting glomped. One fractured rib later and he has learned to be careful while you nibble on his bones [nom nom]

Carnation: showing aggression to those you love was the norm in his underground. If you showed you love someone, they become a weak spot. Carn is especially careful about this, as having a brother with only 1hp meant he had to balance not letting people who want to get to him know he cares for his brother while also protecting him from harm. His brother could handle his own, but Carn is a worry wart. He's gone through therapy so he knows he does t have to act that way and can show affection in public, even if in only mild ways like holding hands. It's still hard for him as it's been ingrained into him for his whole life, so he will still act distant in public even if he is super affectionate in private. All this to say with an s/o that shows cuteness aggression they will have to explain very hard that this is a love language and is just a way of expressing love or else he might slip back into bad habits. He might slip up once or twice but overall, he enjoys it a quite a bit. Just know he might accidently headbutt you because he's trying to imitate the nuzzling.

Honey: he loves it. For all the wrong reasons. I won't go into details but let's just say, he might moan a little when bitten

Persimmon: yeah, you're going to have to hold back with him. I mean he's no weakling but he doesn't want to be in more pain than usual. Sorry buddy he wishes you could show love the way you do but you're just going to have to:

Crying sobbing throwing up and ice cream mostly.

Listen man, that's a bit too angsty for me. I'm a fluff writer, leave me alone!!

I know logically you mean something like "oh Carn is so serious! How would he be with a goofy partner?" But I'm taking total opposite literally.

Cinnamon tries. He tries a lot. He doesn't have enough relationship experience to know when it's better to let go. It's not that they're lazy, he knows he is way more high energy than most people. He can get along well with someone very low energy. It's their unwillingness to try things. He wants to go out! He wants to do things! And they just... refuse. No matter how many stay at home dates or simple low energy activities if it's not EXACTLY what they want they refuse to do it.

He's tired, he's bored, and worst of all? He doesn't feel loved. They never show affection. It hurts him, it hurts him a lot.

Carnation is at first, pleased with his partner. This seems like a dream. He yearns for someone to bring out his less serious side, someone he can be comfortable around. Sure, he's a guy that likes nice stuff and has a short temper. But he also has a warrior cats oc! And plays wizard101! Normally he can't show these sides of himself to people. There are very few who know all these parts of him. His s/o, the one that should be closest to him, not only his lover but his confidante, should be of those he can share this with!

But when he trys he gets off looks. Passive aggressive remarks. Statements on how he shouldn't act that way. It brings back insecurities he thought he got rid of years ago.

His partner doesn't care about sincerity like he does. Carnation considers dating sacred, something he only does with those he truly cares for. His s/o? Oh its all a facade. It wouldn't be a stretch to call them a gold digger. One that targets men who like "manic pixie dream girls/boys". To them relationships are an act. An act they THOUGHT Carnation was in on. So they feel Grossedout when he shows genuine love and sincerity. It all breaks Carnation's big 'ol romantic heart.

Now normally Honey wouldn't date someone like this in the first place. But alas, the strange whims of the heart. It wasn't that they were outgoing, emotional, and open like a book. Of anything he loves that in a partner! It's the fact that they are so.... mean? I guess mean is the best word. That's how he's always felt about gossips. Them loudly talking about how someone looked "funny" [they used less kind words] and how their cousin's ex is in jail and he toootally got it coming just gives him the ick [for lack of a better term].

Honey is a the second most emotionally mature of the papyri so he cuts it off pretty quick. As soon as they try one of those "relationship tests" he broke it off right then and there. His now ex still harasses him a lot though.

Oh brother you will have to drag Jam outta that wreck of a relationship by the ankles. He is already a pretty broken man, but being belittled by the person who is supposed to care for him most really breaks him.

Sure, he is a total ass to strangers. But to those who cares for? He is the sweetest boy of all time. His s/o was so nice, so loving. Then they got worse. And worse. And somehow even worse. But he holds hope. They were nice once, maybe if he just bes better and they'll be better. He knows they can. He'll take it. He's done so much, maybe he deserves this. It's a miracle anybody is with him at all.

Im not even going to pretend Persi would put up with that person's bullshit enough to date them. Honey is the second most mature? Persimmon IS the most mature. And he does not fuck around with people who act so horrid, immature, and selfish. He's dealt with enough he is NOT dealing with more.

He's such a sweety that when they ask him out he let's them down gently instead of telling them to fuck off like he wants to.

Since the papyri are all [generally] good boys someone who is the exact opposite is not a good person to hang around.

Also for some context for Jam's scenario he is [was] the type of guy to beat random strangers for shits and giggles. You can imagine how the opposite would go. Like I said, kill that guy.

Dawg I already have a hard enough time making the s/os as blank as possible without adding my own personality traits, I could NOT do multiple of 'em.
