Impatiens glandulifera used to be native to the Himalayas but is now present across Europe, North America and New Zealand, where it is most often classified as invasive.

Passionflowers now grow throughout the Northern hemisphere and are classified as invasive in Spain, California, Hawaï, and New Zealand. Their original range was limited to South America, in an area that covers Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
