The face of Duchess in her pink demon form thing always reminds me of the paintings of Ken Currie where he paints deformed faces from war and radiation right, and from that I get the headcanon that their face burnt off during the great divide and the pink form is sorta their "true form"

Like idk I like the concept of the act of breaking up with God being so potent it created a great divide between demons and angels and one can assume Duchess took the bigger blow from God and falling from heaven left them burnt and scarred and deformed - and everytime they showed the other face it had to be thru that 'snap' so it very easily could be them just putting on the disguise of who they once were
