Location: Most of North America, staying pretty Northern, and most of Canada

Fun Facts: These bats can live for up to 34-35 years! Little brown bats also rarely test positive for rabies. They have five subspecies as well. The little brown bat can hybridize with Yuma myotis!! They're like us and have a set of baby teeth that they lose when they age! They can see UV light, which is good for insect hunting as 80% of nocturnal moth wings reflect UV light! Fall through the spring these bats enter torpor (basically hibernation) and in the winter they actually enter hibernation! They're colonial bats but with white-nose syndrome (a terrible fungal disease that's killing a lot of bats) solitary hibernation is becoming more common for them. Some little brown bats are actually immune to the MIV1 strain of rabies!!! They also homosexual sometimes!!!
