Dalton turned over his bag one more time, pouring out the contents once again. “Oh for fucks sake,” He groaned, rummaging through each item scattered. “Have you seen it? Please tell me you’ve seen it?”

Alec noticed the rushed behavior of the other boy and couldn’t help but the feeling of confusion that overcame him, “I’m not sure. What’re you looking for, Dal? Perhaps I could help you look for whatever it is.”

“Never been, but sounds like you had a good time. Might not be my scene, but I can understand why others enjoy it.”

“Really, never? I’ll make sure to invite you next time, it’s a ton of fun down there. I mean, there are plenty of other fun things to do other than going to clubs and stuff. I’m sure there’s something for everyone.”

“I will get you a dope DJ,” she chuckled, sounding lame as she repeated the words. “Whenever you’re ready, just let me know, no need to rush,” she said with a shrug, placing her hands in her coat pockets. “I want every single detail, don’t care how uncomfortable I get.”

“Oh, gosh. Okay, new rule --- no using slang words with you because you sound lame as hell,” he laughed, eyes crinkling as he did so. “This is why you’re the best, blondie.” The smirk on his face grew at her confirmation and he gave her a small shrug, “Okay, if you say so. I pretty much did what every other person would; go out, get drunk, do stupid stuff. I met a few girls while I was there and --- damn, Rora. Florida girls are something else, let me tell you.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll make it the best funeral anyone’s ever seen,” she teased, happy to see her friend. “I completely get it and of course,”  she said, giving the boy a warm smile. “So, what’d you do over there? I want to know everything.”

“You better. I want a dope fucking DJ and everything, Rora,” he said, laughing. “Thank you. We can mention her when I’m ready, I guess.” Alec let out another chuckle at the following question and gave his friend a small smirk, “Are you sure you want to know everything? I mean, there are some things that I’ll go into graphic detail on --- are you ready for that?”

“I can’t promise cause I’m hugging you really hard,” she said as she finally pulled away. “I’m just happy you’re back! Arya moved and then you left, I had no purpose,” she said with a chuckle.

“Well, if you kill me then you’re responsible for my funeral,” Alec joked, the smile on his face growing. “I’m happy to be back as well. I needed time to myself, y’know? Though, uh, let’s not mention her, yeah?”

Aurora ran up to the boy and wrapped her arms around him. “Alec! Oh my God, I missed you!”

“Woah, okay, please try not to kill me,” he chuckled, wrapping his arms around the blonde’s waist. “I missed you too, Rora. I’m sorry I kinda left without letting you know.”

“Drinking makes me social.”

“It makes me social as well, but sometimes I’m pretty damn problematic as well.”

Okay, sure. Whatever you say, big boy.

Big boy? Huh, haven’t been called that in a while.

Dalton sighed before chuckling to defuse any tension. "I’m just mad I wasn’t there to join in,” 

“I’m a bit bummed out you weren’t either. I needed someone there with me to celebrate my victory.”

“You did good then I’m proud of you.”

“Thank you, thank you. I deserve a medal for at least not killing him.”

“Oh yeah? Well, I’ve fought off as many puppies as Steve Irwin, so I think I win.”

“Okay --- what’s it going to take for me to convince you that I should be Batman?”

“And I’m sure he deserved it. But sometimes putting people in there place isn’t always the best idea. Trust me,” 

“Oh, c’mon --- it was the perfect opportunity! It was the first time I’ve fought in months, Dal. Let me live a little.”

“Okay then. I just hope the other guy looks worse than you do.”

“Let’s just say someone had to call him an ambulance. I feel pretty accomplished right now, to be honest.”

“I don’t know, do you really think you have what it takes to be Batman?”

“Of course I do. I’ve handled probably as many guys as Bruce Wayne did, so I think I’m a perfect fit.”
