"[...] Now, I've lived in London for about sixteen years and I came here for the first time when I was sixteen with my sister, and just next door I was put into a band called One Direction and my life completely changed and ever since then any time I have been lucky enough to play in London it really feels like coming home. I've lived here, I've grown up here, I've met some incredible people here, met some wonderful friends, I have learned so much from this city. I wanna thank you for allowing me to play here in London, thank you so, so much. The next song we're gonna play for you, the next couple of songs were written about a time I was rediscovering a lot of different things in my life, and it came from a time when I was saying 'no' to a lot of things, and I was starting to say 'yes' to a lot of things, and it was through friends of mine that I kind of learned when was the time to say 'no', and when was the time to say 'yes'. I think sometimes, you go on a date with someone and they say 'Oh, I just wanna be friends', and it seems like some sort of consolation when actually, my friends have completely changed my life. Being somebody's friend is the most incredible, beautiful thing you can possibly be to someone. Who came with some friends tonight? No shade on the relationships, totally fine with them. I'm lucky that when I'm playing in London, I have lots of friends here. And over the sixteen years of my life and beyond that, the friends that are here tonight have helped me in ways that sometimes they don't even know how meaningful it has been to me so I wanna thank my friends, old and new, for the rest of my entire lifetime, for the support and the love that they've given me.
