Lo'ak had always been fascinated by the Metkayina tribe, with their fierce independence and their close relationship with the ocean. He had met Y/N a few times before, and he couldn't help but be drawn to her beauty and her spirit.
One day, as he was flying his ikran over the ocean, he spotted Y/N below, swimming, with only the creatures of Pandora to keep her company. He took it as a chance to talk to her so he circled back, landing on the beach nearby.
"Hey, Y/N!" he called out, waving, making Y/N look up with a surprised expression on her face.
"Oh, hi Lo'ak! What brings you here?" she asked, swimming towards the shore.
"I wanted to show you something," Lo'ak said, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Y/N raised an eyebrow, feeling curious. "What is it?"
"Come with me, and I'll show you," Lo'ak said, gesturing towards his ikran.
Y/N hesitated, feeling uncertain. She had never ridden an ikran before, and the thought of flying through the air made her nervous.
"I don't know, Lo'ak. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that," she said, feeling hesitant.
"Please, Y/N. I promise, it will be worth it," Lo'ak said, his voice pleading, never once breaking eye contact.
Y/N sighed, feeling torn. She was curious about what Lo'ak had to show her, the simple image of flying through the air almost manipulating her decision.
"Okay, I'll go with you," she said finally, feeling a sense of trepidation.
Lo'ak grinned with a look of excitement written all over his face. He had always wanted to share the experience of flying on his ikran with someone else, and he couldn't think of anyone better than Y/N.
He helped her onto the back of his ikran, showing her how to hold on to the reins. She was now sitting in front of him, his arms on either side of her, holding her steady. Her body trembled as a surge of adrenaline went through it right as the ikran took off, soaring into the sky.
The wind whipped through her hair as they flew over the ocean, the sun beating down on their skin. Y/N felt a sense of exhilaration that she had never experienced before, as if she was flying towards the unknown, her heart pounding with anticipation.
As they flew further away from the shore, Lo'ak pointed towards a secluded cove that he had discovered on one of his adventures.
"That's where I want to take you," he said, his voice low and intense.
Y/N felt a sense of apprehension, as they flew towards the cove. She had never been to this part of the ocean before, and the thought of being so far away from everything she knew made her doubt this decision.
As they landed on the beach, Y/N looked around, feeling a sense of wonder at the secluded beauty of the cove. The water was crystal clear, and the sand was soft and white.
Lo'ak led her towards a small rocky outcrop, where he had set up a makeshift shelter. They sat together, watching the waves crash against the shore, as the sun began to set behind them.
Y/N felt a sense of peace settle over her, as she watched the colors of the sky change from orange to pink to purple. She had never felt so at home in such a wild and remote place before.
As night fell, Lo'ak built a fire, and they sat together, watching the stars twinkle above them. They talked about their lives, their dreams, and their fears, feeling a sense of closeness that they had never experienced before.
Y/N couldn't help but feel drawn to Lo'ak's adventurous spirit and his passion for exploring the world beyond their home. Now, as they had finally spent some time alone, she felt as if his simple presence made her once shy demeanor turn into a sort of restlessness, an yearning to explore. Not just Pandora, but Lo’ak as well.
As night set and they were readying themselves to leave, the Na’vi boy took Y/N’s hand to guide her to the ikran. It was a simple, innocent touch, yet it made her yearn for more. For now though, it was enough.
