I hate Stizzy and I don’t believe it can be safely and decently shipped. I don’t know why it’s so tolerated.
You know, you could use normal fandom words instead of whatever this is. "Safely shipped"? Whose safety is at stake here? They are cardboard dolls. Frankly, saying that shipping of some fictional dudes is unsafe is actually insulting to people living in unsafe situations.
Safe shipping. Laughable.
Wasn’t sure how to otherwise convey my extreme discomfort with this ship and the sexualization and normalization of abuse in fandom spaces, but thanks for your input. This wasn’t a treatise - it was a one-off tumblr post late at night in response to an abusive ship. To try to make this into me disrespecting real life situations is extreme.
It’s gross and I fucking hate it?
Right, meanwhile Gentlebeard is a ship that says that love cures people of being abusers and absolves them of any past guilt without the need to make any restitutions. It says that yes, you CAN actually fix him no matter how horrible the things he's done are, disregarding the fact that this is exactly how people end up in toxic relationships. I'm all for second chances, but they don’t come without work. It’s a terribly irresponsible message to be sending in a mainstream show which has much wider audience and belongs to a different culture than fanfiction.
