I can't remember if I've sent my headcanons here before, I think I was going to once but lost the ask, so here's a "small" list of my current NHHHCs
Grian : His main species is an avian, but that's definitely not all he is. The wings, both on his back and on his head, are definitely the first thing you notice though. He's got a long tail, with feathers on the end. He's also part wolf, he has the ears. Those ears just happen to be perpetually lit on fire. He once tried to put them out, out of curiosity, but it hurt, so he didn't try again. He's part fire spirit, like his brother. (sunblings for life)
Tango : A fire spirit, but is a lot more in tune with his abilities and fire properties than Grian is. The fire hair and tail are common traits seen in fire spirits. The fire wings? Not so much. Unbeknownst to anyone other than him, Grian & Xisuma, Tango is a phoenix. He's only ever fully died twice, but he's old as hell.
Etho : Another immortal being characterized by revival, but instead of a pheonix, Etho's a kitsune. He looks like a normal Arctic fox, save for the small red marks on his cheeks and ears. He usually only has one tail out, just for practicality, but he actually has 6 currently. His "hair" is naturally very fluffy. It might be fur. He's not too sure. He's one of the few hermits with digitigrade legs.
False : Gonna put hers in a seperate ask since it's longer than the others
Mumbo : Most people think he's a vampire. It's not like he's hiding the fact that he isnt, he just doesn't particularly care. I mean, the sharp teeth and claws, the long pointed ears, they look pretty vampire-y. But really, he's a dragon. He has tall, straight horns, big wings, and a huge tail, which all fade from a deep scarlet to a brilliant sapphire. It's good that being a dragon gives him incredible body strength, otherwise the tail being at least five times his height in length would be an issue. He keeps them hidden though, just because they get in the way.
Bdubs : Bdubs is not human. It's hard to pinpoint what he is exactly, since he refuses to give any information out, but the current best guesses are that he's either some sort of anthropomorphized plant or sun deity. He can sleep anywhere, he can photosynthesize, eating fish makes him sick, he's able to grow plants on his body, he never gets sunburn, his eyes don't hurt when looking straight at the sun, he's kind of a wildcard.
Gem : At first glance, she's a deer. Which is true, she has the thin antlers, furred ears, and small tail. But weirdly enough, she's also part moth. She'll never turn down a shiny gift, and is very set on making sure everywhere is lit up properly. If you look closely, you can see her antenna hidden in her hair. She usually keeps her wings under her clothing, since although they're much hardier than the wings of a pure moth, they can still very easily get injured. She uses them to fly, but if she crashes, they'll be out of commission for a few days, regrowing the scales.
