I'm interested in hearing what your personal issues are with the Democratic party. This is a 100% genuine question btw.
I think i can break it down into two parts.
The first part is, they are just as much of what makes the USA the fascist imperial warhawk that it is as republicans. No matter what is happening here at home, they really differ very little when it comes to exploiting and bombing nations overseas, increasing military spending, border security, etc. Not only that but they also still work for the interests of the billionaire class (which goes hand in hand with warmongering but I digress).
The 2nd part is the establishment just...does not care about the american people. The party does not have an identity at this point beyond being "the party that isn't trump." They flip flop and try to appeal to moderates and make concessions at the cost of the lives and wellbeing of americans...they just don't do enough. And it's not just because of who has control over the house or whatever, they don't do enough because it isn't in their agenda. They are not the progressive party that the american people need.
my problem with the liberals and ppl on here who still have faith in the democratic party is that they seem to think any strategy outside of what the dems are currently doing could never work. like you never consider the democrats as an establishment of the ruling class who have vested interests in their own capital gains. like, oh, of course a truly progressive candidate could never win, thats why we have to run candidates like joe biden or gavin newsome, because the american people will faint and piss their pants at the sight of left wing ideas. and yet its never considered the hand that the democratic and liberal establishment has in suppressing left wing ideas and preventing left wing campaigns from forming.
Maybe if all those resources were pooled into an actually effective progressive campaign, one that actually had strong ideas and messaging and outreach, instead of the milquetoast, uninspiring “at least im not trump!!” drivel of the last 10 years, the political landscape would look a bit different. the reality is the american people don’t have any real exposure to left wing ideas! its this vague idea filtered through fox news and liberal grifters 2 seconds away from starting their “why i left the left” podcast. americans don’t like left wing politics because they have never been given a chance to actually see and engage with it. and that is not an accident!!!!!!
everytime you justify the democratic party moving more and more right with “thats just what they have to do to win,” what are you even fighting for anymore? wake up, you are being taken for a fool. this is all inspired by seeing a post that said “yeah, the 2028 democrat will probably be conservative by democrat standards, but we just have to deal with it.” I’m sorry, but you just have to be angrier about this. one last thing, be very critical of her friends. a lot of them were personally involved in what she was doing to her victims
