JUST A THOUGHT, IF I MADE A MISTAKE, TELL ME

Clark unknowingly sent Bobby packing first, and deep down, he probably didn't regret it one bit. The scene where Bobby is first introduced makes it quite clear that Clark hates Bobby's disdain for his work. He himself would never be so casual about his dream job, and the idea that his store doesn't mean as much to him as it does to someone else is foreign to him. (Racism can also be tied here because Bobby is a young, privileged white boy from the 1990s who quite possibly never experienced humiliation and was living his best life, while Clark worked hard for a dream that ultimately no one cared about him. +1 point for racism because Clark's competitor is a generic, white, cisgender, fat guy who, with an identical business, is trusted more than Clark, even though his advertising is cheaper, featuring just tables outside and gates with an awkward suit, while Clark's ad immediately shows a building, a beautiful suit, and surroundings, but the white guy still wins.)

Most likely, he left Kat because she didn't treat him so dismissively + he saw her as the "ideal" woman who loves a man for who he is, and his wife asked him to change at least a little. And considering her perfect, he didn't abandon her corpse, didn't feed her to a pirate's Burmaldinian, but left her in perfect condition. She doesn't argue, doesn't run, is cool and quiet.

So, to sum up my sayings:

Bobby is like a red rag to a bull for Clark. He's happy, he has a girl who cares about him, he doesn't have to work himself to prove his worth, and he has all this while he's young.
