Brunching

As he pulls me closer to him he asked why so blue is my love for you not true? I took a deep breath before I replied gazing deep into his eyes, tears fell as I whispered and asked why don't see me. How can I not? You're right here. I say see me the same you see those books, scanning the cover before you've even opened it. Caress me like those pages as if I was the finest of silk. Stare me down and analyze me the way you analyzed every sentence read, pondering upon the thoughts that lie awake now from the words not spoken. I want those eyes on me that pauses at every period, processing how the words touched you deeper than you ever felt before. Open me down the center after learning apart of me that you never knew before, pondering upon the mystery between the lines wrote. Tracing your fingers down the pages. I wish I could see you again babe now that you're no longer here.

My view on relationships. I don’t like them. I don’t like people getting close to me or getting attached. I honestly don’t like who I become in a relationship and when I feel myself getting into one I instantly second guess and slightly regret it. When I am in a relationship state of mind I no longer think about myself I think about us. If you think about it, a relationship it’s two people bonding, and what is a bond, two things joined securely. Keyword secure. I’m making sure we our secure. My intentions for relationships is not to be “goals” for social media it’s to make sure the person I’m with is financially, physically, mentally and securely taken care of. There is no roles and it’s no longer “for me” it’s now “for us” and I’ve experienced that people in their 20s are not prepared for that. They haven’t adapted to what comes after the dates and hanging out like our responsibilities as adults bonding together to form a union. So when I’m doing “for us” and I bring up long term then it dawns on them that I’m not in this relationship for likes of other people I’m in it for the love of them and only them. I believe in fighting for them through the worst times and smiling with them for the best. Forgiveness, acceptance, and honesty. Growth for both and never leaving them behind. Those moments you enter a person’s life you impact them and when you love a person the last thing you should do is hurt and leave a negative impact. Therefore I said all that to say this. I don’t believe in love for me, majority of people are just infatuated because if you’re not thinking or ready for my type of love I don’t want you impacting my life.
