pissed off toddler is my aesthetic

I have always had such a fondness for cypress and maple trees. Perhaps it came from growing up in Australia where they aren’t native, and only ever seeing them in storybooks or fantasy films. I couldn’t ever picture Little Red Riding Hood or Snow White bush-bashing through sunburned spinifex grass and acacias. Or perhaps it’s the conditioning of growing up in a country where literally every second insect, reptile and drop bear wants to kill you, and that association with their surrounding habitat. Travelling in New Zealand has given me more perspective though, I’m looking forward to returning home and exploring more of my own country. We always tend to take where we live for granted.
