↳     it was so clear, and distinct an image in his head. the fox pulled away from his friend, worry still on his features, “it just feels so real.” and with reese saying hanuel’s soul was splitting due to being reborn to many times, was it possible tae was seeing one of hanuel’s pasts? but how could he if taekyung himself hadn’t been there for it...unless he was too? pushing back the confusion in his mind, he forced a small smile, “ but yeah! fighting doesn’t look good on us. and everyone else in the dorm gets upset about it too, so we have to stay strong together.”

 ↳     tae’s life ends when his fox reaches nine tails. but that’s so far off from now, it’s difficult for him to even try and coneptualize it, “all three of us forever then. I already watched you guys die once, I’m not doing it again. i definitely can’t do that again--” taekyng paused, his grip on hanuel tightening a bit, “...what am i saying? where did that---”

↳     “you should !! -- but not because you might die. you’re not going to.” taekyung moved across the room to bring his friend into a hug, “hyunsik-hyung and falyn-noona are going to figure out how to fix you so you can live a long life, hannie. we’ve still got  lot of things to do together, and i’m not going to die for a few hundred years so...you’ve got to be here for at least that long.”

↳     ethan turned his cup in his hands, gaze locked on the liquid swirling around inside as a result of his motions, “i don’t know how seeing works for you, but for me...it’s sort of a genetic thing. my entire family are seers. but when i was young, my seeing powers didn’t manifest like everyone else’s. my ‘seer gene’ as it were was dormant. so my parents worked with some shady ass people to force awaken my seeing ability. and it hurt...a whole fucking lot. and it always has hurt because it was forced in an unnatural way. and even when i screamed and cried, my parents told me that no matter what you’re feeling or going through, you have to power through and you can’t let things look bad. you have to suck it up and grow up. after a while, those words just sort of became my mantra and the things i would say to cope when i was in pain.” he turned his head to look reese in the eye, “and when you hear and say things enough, you start parroting them to other people. i’m not...saying this as an excuse, but it’s...what i went through is why i approach things the way i do now. I know inside it’s wrong, but it’s something i have to work hard to combat. I don’t mean to be harsh to you, reese, you’re---you definitely don’t deserve it. i’m sorry for being such an asshole hyung to you.”

↳      "how long is a while?” she questioned softly, letting herself get wrapped up in his arms and fall in a heap on the bed. The warmth of the embrace and the familiar feel of his lips made her miss this kind of normal life. One not packed with schedules and strict curfews, “--i do have rehearsals to get to later.”

↳      taekyung’s smile was small a bit, “...i went about it wrong though. my answer is always to run away from things. to erase things, to act like they didn’t happen because it’s easier than facing it head on. i shouldn’t push that on other people. and with...” should he say? didn’t he have the right to know the state of his own soul?, “...with--your soul, hannie. reese says it’s splitting. and if you get to stressed, you could break. having memories of your ex laying around felt like...something that could cause you to break before we can figure out how to help you.”

↳      taking a sip of his own drink, he moved past the maknae and sat down on the bed, “yeah. i want to be a responsible hyung here and resolve things. i hurt you...i didn’t mean to, and--i owe you an explanation about some things. if you’ll listen.”

↳      “well, let’s just say you look great for eight thousand and leave it at that.” he smiled, “a princess...that makes perfect sense, actually. as long as i’ve known you, you’ve had this sophisticated air to you. your regal upbringing really shines in your personality.”

↳      "i--” he didn’t even fully know what to say. he hadn’t really prepared anything. all taekyung knew was that he wanted to make up and have things go back to normal, “we never got back to talking again about the ring thing because i went to jiwoo’s so--i thought we...should get it out of the way. i don’t like being in an argument with you... it’s not good for either of us to be upset with each other.”

↳      "mhm...solid move, solid move. well i would then probably suggest something else like going to the zoo or the aquarium because i’m a sucker for animals and movies are shit for talking and hanging out. what would you say to that?”

↳      “hey.” ethan held one of the drinks out to him -- an iced pumpkin coffee from two star’s in house cafe in the lobby, “they started selling the pumpkin drinks at the cafe, so i got you one on my way back from the studio.”

↳      two drinks in hand, ethan lightly tapped on the door to reese’s room with his knuckle. he didn’t want to startle him or catch him off guard from his practice of...whatever he happened to be practicing at that moment. be it singing, dancing, or trying to be more ‘tough’, it always seemed reese was up to something in his room, so ethan wanted to be respectful and not just barge in.

↳    solbin let out a small scoff and shook her head, shifting from her slightly slouched position to fully upright “alright, so. you like me and have liked me and now i know about it. what’s your next move?”

↳      "....hey, hannie...” taekyung poked his head into the door of the practice room to find his roommate, “are you--are you busy or anything?” they hadn’t spoken for a day. he hadn’t even seen hanuel since the argument.

↳    “you--” solbin paused, taking a long moment to process the confession. taking a moment to register all the dumb shit she’d said up to this point that probably made mikey feel a bit awful, “since when? how long have you been into me and why didn’t you say anything sooner?”
