The Birth of an Idea
In my previous post, I mentioned that after moving to Dubai, I discovered a sector that seemed frozen in time.
I am referring to the adult services industry.
Most people avoid discussing this topic. Many pretend the industry doesn't exist at all. Yet the reality is simple: millions of people worldwide use these services, and thousands of professionals work in the field.
And yet, the technology used here is often a decade out of date.
I asked myself: "How can I solve this problem? What will make my project unique?"
That is how Escort Aura was born. I set out to create not just an escort service listing for the UAE, but a directory built on the principles of any high-quality digital product: simplicity, trust, speed, and user-friendliness.
I wanted a platform where people could access reliable information, find verified profiles of independent professionals, agencies, and clubs, and utilize features that meet modern user needs.
More importantly, I aim for this project to be more than just a directory. My vision was to create a space that facilitates communication and fosters a community. That is why I developed tools focused on user interaction - such as discussion forums and real-time listings (Live Ads) - making the user experience more interactive and socially engaging.
It is important to show that even sectors people rarely talk about deserve thoughtful technology, modern design, and products created with respect for the people who use them.
