Origins: Briar Ridge, South Carolina
Neighborhood: Beach Front
Relationship status: Single
SUMMARY: Born and raised in Briar Ridge, Noa Andreas is the only child to loving parents who had always lived happily within their means. She had big dreams for her life, had always been desperate to get out of town and live in cities like New York or even somewhere abroad. As much as she romanticized her future life Noa buckled down and went to the local university to earn her degrees and take care of her family when hard times struck. In that time she gained a best friend and platonic soulmate along with some independence, only those good things didn't last forever. Now living in her childhood home taking care of her father and working her way out of debt, Noa makes a living as an event coordinator at Marineland.
UPDATES AS OF 11/2024: death tw / Noa's father passed away two months ago and would explain her "absense" and quiet around town the last couple of months. She's also moved on from Marineland and now works as an event coordinator for the city of Briar Ridge.
Welcome to Briar Ridge … [ NOA ANDREAS ]! Who is known as [ NOA ] and was recently seen leaving their home in [ BEACH FRONT ]. she is currently [ 32 ] years old. she resembles [ PRISCILLA QUINTANA ] and is an [ EVENT COORDINATOR ] at [ MARINELAND ]. They’re best known for [ always feeling out of place in a small town ] and also, [ persevering through the hardships ]. What is really important to know about them is [ she's the fallen angel, someone who gave up everything for her family at the cost of her own happiness ].
Growing up in a small town Noa always felt out of place. She was a big city girl at heart, and well, in everything she did. Noa followed the higher fashion trends in the likes of Vogue and was the girl already going to the salon to get manicures, pedicures, and her hair done by the age of thirteen. It all left her on the outskirts of the popular friend group she was a part of. They talked of simpler more common things most young teenagers did rather than look so far ahead at an adult life. Noa was the girl in designer jeans, heels, and hoped to be thriving in New York City one day.
Rather than get off to one of the big cities like she had been planning for, Noa ended up at the local university and studied business and marketing there. Her dreams had become distant when her parents had fallen ill one after the other and in need of constant care. At first, she split her time between classes and work, tying to earn enough to pay for a nurse that could come to the house a few times a week but she got lucky in the sense that her mother got better and was able to return to work. Noa was ushered off to live her life by her mother, she didn’t want her having too much adult stress when she was still trying to figure out who she was.
With university came finding her platonic soulmate. Or so Noa thought. When she and her friend met it was an instant connection and a bond that built up strong, feeling like nothing she had experienced before with friends of the past. They were like sisters and as an only child, Noa felt a connection she hadn’t realized she had been longing for her whole life. They quickly went from friends to roommates and to Noa it was the best thing in the world to gain a little independence, be close enough to home, and get to live with her best friend. They did everything together and Noa never really minded being the third wheel to her friend and her boyfriend. She dated but never really fell into anything serious the way her best friend had.
One day everything came to an abrupt end and Noa was left devastated in her friend’s abandonment. Suddenly with everything on her own, she struggled to pay the rent and utilities. Making it to classes completely exhausted caused her grades to slip as she had to pick up more work just to make ends meet. The last thing she wanted to do was burden her parents who were struggling on a single income so she kept it all to herself and tried to push through everything.
Then, things went from bad to worse. Noa’s mother collapsed at work and that was that. Without warning she was gone and not only did she have to process the loss, her father’s care was now in her hands. Not only was she eventually evicted from her apartment, Noa had also taken out too many credit cards just to cover the expenses of her father’s medical bills. Her credit pretty much fell into the negative and she had to move back home but there was no certainty that she and her father would be able to keep the home.
As soon as Noa graduated she applied to an open position at Marineland, they were looking for an event coordinator and she sweet talked her way into the job. Thankfully she had the ability behind the smile but given that she was a recent graduate with no real job experience yet in the field, she had to work very hard to prove she was worth the chance that had been taken on her. It was taking years to dig her way out of the mess she had gotten into with debt and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, Noa couldn’t jeopardize that by taking it easy on the job.
Just when things were beginning to feel comfortable, maybe even easy, there was a shake up at Marineland with management. A new boss that she would have to prove herself to, especially since cutbacks were mentioned in the very first meeting. With her credit nearly restored and her finally living somewhat close to her means, Noa has never been more worried that she’ll be kicked to the curb and everything she had rebuilt would come crashing down.

Mason had been waiting for quite awhile for his coworker who had invited him, mind you, to show up but he had just assumed they weren't going to show. He shook his head as he ordered himself a second drink, finishing off the first one. He turned to the person sitting next to him. "Let me ask you something. You ask someone out for a drink, no pressure, not really a date, supposedly, but you for some reason don't show, no matter what the reason, do you send them a text togive them a heads up or have I been played?"
When Noa felt the shift next to her it was quickly realized that she'd met him before and they'd chatted over ice cream. Simpler days, she thought. Now here they both were drinking. She smiled a little, catching his meaning with his question, and sipped her cocktail while she considered. "Depends on how you know the person. I mean, not showing and not saying anything, should never be acceptable... but it's different if its a friend or if it was a stranger." Noa shrugged a little. "I'm not sure if you've been played... maybe their phone got destroyed or they got abducted by aliens."
"I'd say sorry, Daddy, I've been bad but—" a hand twirled irreverently through the air— "wrong religion and all of that."
Peri wasn't sure how long they'd been stretched out in the sand (no blanket, because she was never that great at fully fledged plans) but the sky had gone dark as ink, broken up only by a smattering of long dead stars. It was at least midnight, if she had to guess.
Which made sense considering how much they had to catch up on.
This was their third weekly vent-sesh and she'd just finished explaining to Noa exactly how she came into possession of Greg, her cat (ie: crawling through a window in Nashville in an act of catnapping, then running like hell). It was a funny story, no doubt, but mostly shared in avoidance of the big stuff. The hard stuff. The 'internally I now identify as broken glass' stuff.
Those were the moments she still kept chained up and to herself. Maybe someday she'd talk about it; if anyone was good for moonlighting as an unpaid therapist it was Noa. Yet, for all the memories and all the trust between them, she couldn't let those wounds bleed out.
Turning over to her side, she ignored that morning's encounter with her mom to simply advise, "I wouldn't recommend spending a night in jail. The beds are shit and the cops stare at you funny when you ask to keep the handcuffs."
"Do you actually say Daddy, or... have you ever?" Maybe she was missing the point or perhaps Noa had stuck like glue to the right vein the conversation was alluding to, but in efforts of distraction she let her brain run away with the direction it had latched onto. It'd been too long, something she might only admit to Peri at this point, and it wasn't a road her thoughts could travel down and hurt her all that much with. "I feel like I'd stop an laugh if that ever came out of me..."
Though, there was that one time she nearly called a woman that, but she'd earned that whole heartedly, and... Noa missed her. Wherever she was.
As much as Noa enjoyed the literally cat burglary story, loving every bit of Peri's antics and the way she moved through life, she kept getting caught up in the stars. If asked she could point out all of the constellations and planets, what was visible at least, and could even talk about their myths. Many times when she needed a break from her father or the heaviness of life she'd sit out on her back patio and simply have a one sided love affair with the cosmos.
Venting with Peri these last weeks and catching up had been a blessing come at the exact right time. Even if she didn't talk about what she'd lost, what had changed, and that feeling of being completely alone in the world. Peri didn't talk about the serious stuff in that way either. It was as though they'd made a silent pact and as much as she wanted to hug and hang onto her friend for dear life, because simply existing scared her right now, the distractions and regaling of Peri's adventurous life had become healing in it's own way.
"I bet the cops were just mad that you didn't want them to come with the cuffs," Noa teased her beautiful friend. "How many nights... over the course of your life so far... are we talking about here, though?"

Moving on from Marineland had been an incredibly tough decision for Noa. It had been her first and only job post university and they'd taken a risk hiring someone without the work experience a place such as the aquarium would demand but it had been amazing. Outside of her father and cousin, there was found family formed there, and aside from the need to progress in her career that was what was so difficult to leave behind. With her hands tucked into her pockets of her jacket Noa glanced at her former work wife and felt a pang in her chest. "How's things been getting on there?" Meaning Marineland of course. "It's tough not seeing you nearly every day..."

Tucked into a booth on the side wall where there was a window to enjoy the moon reflecting on the water Noa smiled as Natalie finally slid in across from her. "I went ahead an ordered for you..." She nodded to the drink in front of Nat sitting there waiting for her patiently. "I don't know if it's something in the air or if I'm just projecting, maybe misery just loves company," Noa shrugged, "but I feel like you need this as much as I do." With a heavy heart lately she was just barely coming up from the trenches of it. She'd been quiet the past couple of months but it was time to pick up and carry on.

location — everything goes
For a couple of months now Noa had mostly holed herself up and kept to herself while she grieved and took on the big changes her life was facing. In that time she'd devoured everything on her to be read pile and even reread a few of her favorite books from the recent years. So, with a coffee in hand, she browsed the fiction sections and nearly ran into someone as she rounded a corner. "Whoops, sorry..." Noa made sure her coffee wasn't about to splatter either of them. "I suppose I should look away from the titles occasionally, huh?" The smile on her lips didn't quite reach her eyes but she was trying.
character — @selinymaz
location — their neighborhood in beach front
Doing her best to fight off the aftermath of so much destruction in her life from the last few months, Noa had taken up doing little mental health walks each day. Most of the time she aimed for the afternoon after she'd made it home from work ( another new thing in her life, this new job ), the exception was the weekends where she could go whenever, but this was mid week and she'd just made it through another day. Hands in her pockets as she strolled along the pavement of her street's sidewalk she noticed her neighbor and decided to stop being such a stranger. The past couple of months she'd been withdrawn and reclusive and Noa knew that wouldn't help her. "Hey, afternoon," she greeted, "need help with that?" Selin had been one of the older girls she'd always admired growing up and when she'd left Noa had always wondered what she'd gotten up to while away.
character — @maricabrera

"So, whatever happened with you and prince charming?" A smirk easily formed, remembering when they'd connected previously over drinks and Mari had experienced a retina burning encounter with a small packaged male in the bathroom. She grabbed for her drink and took a sip of the pale beer wondering in those few moments if her friend's memory would jump back to that or go elsewhere. "I was definitely rooting for you and him. You had such a... strong reaction..." Unable to resist she further teased, doing her best to put a smile on her face these days ( fake it 'til you make it, right? ), as she set her drink down.

Whatever she wanted, Colt was going to try and deliver it to the best of his ability but there was one moment when he wondered if Noa was even down to try. He smiled, waiting patiently while she laughed in hopes that she was up for anything like he was even as he leaned a bit towards the the food first and then games. "It's like you read my mind," he teased with a laugh, offering his elbow for her to take as he led them towards the food booths. "Deep fried Snickers it is, then usually up all the money from my sock drawer savings on winning you the biggest giraffe they've got in this place. Even if it takes all night." It was meant mostly as a laugh, but he also was there to win her a stuffed toy. "Oh I can guarantee that this arm hasn't been that good at throwing a ball since high school so I definitely wouldn't mind walking out with something special from you if I can't make it happen."
This festival weekend had Noa looking forward to nothing but a good time. The daily grind of her life, work and taking care of her father, left her with little room to do much else. She'd gotten lucky that her father's nurse had offered to work the weekend so that Noa could have a little time for fun. And so far with Colt she was in the midst of that. They didn't see each other much anymore and it felt really nice to be in his company and catch up and have some much needed laughs. "Oooo that's a new talent I'm going to have to add to my resumé," the brunette teased and took Colt's offered arm as they strolled through toward the food tents. "I like that dedication," she'd commented with a big grin. The idea of the large giraffe stuffy had come from seeing some girl walking around with a teddy bear as big as she was. It just seemed funny and fun. "Hopefully we don't burn through your sock drawer savings in the process... a sacred saving mechanism, by the way. I have faith in your abilities." As they made their way to the back of the line for the stall serving the deep fried Snickers she looked up at him and then at his arm she was holding. Playfully she gave it a few light squeezes. "This thing? Are you sure? Seems pretty solid to me, Colt. But... lady luck. With a lot of games I have a lot of that weird fortune of being really good with first plays at a game. We're gonna win a prize regardless today."
Wes shifted his weight in an attempt to ease the strain on his knee, the familiar crease of a grown threatening to form but softening as he looked over at Noa. The brim of his hat dipped low, casting a shadow that hit the faint warmth creeping up his neck. "No crystal ball here," he muttered, the gruffness in his voice more out of habit than anything else. "Just a lot of rodeos." Her suggestion about getting on the bull caused an almost reluctant smile to tug at the corner of his mouth. "You sure you wanna see that?" Wes finally asked, his gaze flicking to her briefly before he looked away, as if the idea of her watching him ride made him nervous. Especially since.. he had no idea how that would go now he was injured and living with chronic pain. Besides, everybody would have an expectation of him and, if he fucked up.. well. That would be a shitshow. "Might ruin the mystery," he added, trying to keep his tone light. Wes cleared his throat, searching for something, anything, to say next. "Would you.. try it out?" The man coughed nervously now, quickly covering his mouth with his fist. "I mean, is that.. your thing?"
It had been likely that his resumé would be the response to her teasing and Noa offered a gentle smile in return. The beer in hand was liquid courage but it could only do so much. "Does this make you miss it?" Her chin had jutted toward the mechanical bull, the play version of what he'd done for a living, and Noa imagined if it were his passion he likely ached as though he were missing a limb. "Yeah, I do," she somehow admitted easily. Must have been the alcohol. Like most around here Noa found the cowboys attractive. In stories they were the kind of men that spoke to a woman's heart and needs. She wouldn't that upon Weston, though. "Oh, the mystery... is that what we're calling it?" She would say fantasy. To keep herself from saying things she shouldn't Noa sipped her beer and tried to watch the show in front of her rather than glance at the man beside her. Then his question had her turning her green eyes back to him, a laugh soon followed. "I'm not sure that's a good idea," with a grin on her lips she shook her head, "that thing would probably fling me off and my pride has been hit enough." So much really that there wasn't really any left. "I guess we're both nothing but spectators... how sad," she lightly teased.
When Callum caught sight of Noa in the crowd while performing, he instantly felt a surge of energy. He thought she would make him nervous, but her support meant everything, and he slipped back into the old him, who was carefree and happy. Singing was his first love, and last night, that feeling returned. Fear and pain kept his passion for music hidden. It was for him and Avie only, but something changed on that stage. It was a crappy performance of a Miley Cyrus song, but to him, it had been so important. When he thanked Noa, he could sense that she understood what it meant to him, and part of him wanted to bail and spend the rest of the night with her. Bask in the glory of him conquering that fear, but they had other plans. Thankfully, she had agreed to join him today with Avie. There was a bond developing between the pair this Summer that he couldn't explain, but all he knew was that her friendship was so special to him.
"I know, but that doesn't stop me from being excited to see ya'!" Callum stepped back from the embrace, and blue eyes moved over her. She was stunning. "Wow..." he said softly, then again met her gaze and grinned. "I've already lost. Look at you!" He gave her a quiet whistle, took her arm, and twirled her. "I'd say that's one nil to you already."
Callum placed a hand on the small of her back and gently guided her to where Avie was. "Making friends without us. I swear, that kid will do anything to ditch me these days." He stole a glance at Noa and noted how beautiful she was. He was in a baseball cap, white tee, and jeans, while she looked like a Disney princess. "Avie, look who's here..." Callum had barely finished speaking, and the little girl ran over to hug Noa. "What shall we play first then, girls?" Avie ignored him and stared in awe at Noa, remarking how she looked like Belle. "Right, ring toss it is. Will we do girls versus boys... so you two against me?"
"What?" Noa flushed a little under the praise and gave a bashful smile as her eyes cast away for a moment. It was always difficult to accept compliments for her but even more so when it was someone she valued and admired as much as she did her friend. After Maika she'd been terrified of getting that close to anyone again, to letting them in, but then once she started moving past her crush it was easier to see the genuine gift it was to have Callum in her life. They spent quality time together, sure, but he also spent time with her father and bonded with him. Noa couldn't put words to how much that meant to her. "I feel severely overdressed," she commented with a laugh as Callum spun her, "I wish someone had sent me the memo." Sure, the matching yellow top didn't quite meet the waistband of her long, flowing skirt and therefore displayed a sliver skin, but she once again felt like she didn't quite fit in. "Right, right... because the last four people that walked past us weren't checking you out."
"You've gotta let her go a bit and let her blossom," Noa said softly, not wanting to or meaning to intervene, she just clearly knew girls, "trust me... that girl loves and idolizes you." The way Avie looked at her father was similar to the way Noa looked at her own. When the girl ran up to her the grin Noa had one her face was big and she wrapped her arms fully around Avie. "My sweet angel! You're getting taller every time I see you. Pretty soon I'm gonna be looking up at you!" With a laugh she shook her head. Kids really did change from day to day. "If I look like Belle then I need to go find my beast," she joked to Callum's daughter, definitely thinking she had nothing on the Disney princess. Affection had Noa's hand stroking down the back of Avie's head and then resting on the girl's shoulder as Callum laid down the challenge. She'd never been an athlete or had done sports, despite where she lived she'd been born a city girl at heart. Always had loved fashion and girlie things. "Okay..." Noa squeezed Avie's shoulder gently and smiled at her, "you know all your dad's weaknesses so now's the time to exploit them."

"Okay what do you feel like first? We could get something to eat or I could wildly embarrass myself to try and win you a stuffed giraffe from one of the booths." Why a giraffe? Why not. If there was anything that he could do was throw a ball at some cans in hopes that they'd fall over, maybe impress a girl, and end the night on a high note. Or they'd laugh over his inability to throw at all and celebrate the loss over something that's fried that shouldn't be. Either way, he was fine with Noa taking the lead as he was solidly having a good time.
It was never a good thing when a decision was down to her. As one of the most indecisive people in Briar Ridge her green eyes shifted left and right, practically frozen in place for a moment as though Colt had just dropped her into the plot of Sophie's Choice. "Umm... okay, I can do this..." A little nervous laugh escaped her before she chewed on her bottom lip a moment, eyes glancing up to see if Colt was leaning any particular way. As though she had the ability to read that off his expression. "Why don't we... grab a deep fried Snickers on the way to you being a hero and winning me a large stuffed giraffe that I would be honored to tug around all day." Which she would but the smirk on her lips just displayed her playful side, mostly at the image in her head. "If you suck then we might have to do a role reversal and I'll win you something special," she winked at him.

It was the second day of the Summer music festival, and Callum was on Dad duty. He had been looking forward to spending the day with Avie and showing her that, despite the eye-rolls, her old man was still fun. It was also a special day, as Callum had asked Noa to come join them. The two had grown closer over the Summer, and although she had met Avie many times before, he wanted to spend a day with all three of them together. It was important to him to always include his daughter, but he also knew that part of him wanted Avie and Noa to bond. Callum had grown a bond with Noa's father, so it felt like it mattered that he shared his family with her, too, whenever he could. The circumstances were obviously different, but for Callum, it meant something.
He returned with the slushy Avie had ordered to find she had already made a friend at one of the games. Callum laughed and sipped the drink as the kids played. Then he spotted Noa approaching and quickly jogged to meet her, an arm tightly wrapping around her as he kissed her cheek. "Hey, thanks for coming..."
It was strange how Noa and Callum had known each other for years yet these past few months she'd seen him more than ever and they'd grown close enough that she'd likely call him one of her best friends. Time was such a funny thing, life was really all about timing. After passing by the karaoke fun last night and seeing Callum sing, she was excited for the invite to hang with him and Avie for the day. For the second day in a row Noa seemed to be out of place in the way she dressed for the festival but thankfully she'd already had a beer and couldn't care much about it now. As much as she loved how incredible everyone looked her confidence didn't match theirs.
As she walked toward where Callum said he and Avie would be, she eyed up the games she wanted to possibly play as the concert went on in the background. Before she knew it Cal was in front of her, pressing against her actually as he one arm hugged her tightly and pressed a kiss to her cheek. "I was gonna be here anyway..." She teased. "But no, really... I'm looking forward to the fun. You ready to lose at some games?" In thinking Avie would be with her father Noa looked around when she hadn't come up with him. "Where's my queen?"
