Kender du mig?

Today I realised that strawberry picking can teach you a lot about life. You have to look closely, you’ve got to alter the way you view what’s in front of you, you have to lower yourself to find the best strawberries, it isn’t enough to look only once. It takes time, patience and determination, you should never just give up because in amongst the branches of bug-eaten, old and sour strawberries there are still beautiful, succulent ones awaiting you. Isn’t it impressive that there have been a whole lot of people before you who have walked the exact same line yet there are still so many strawberries hiding that no one has seen, but you? Some people only want the most beautiful and biggest berries, but often it happens to be the little inconspicuous ones that have the most intensive taste. Strawberries don’t mellow within the same time frame, every single one takes its own time. Even when one ripens the one next to it may still be green, and if it’s still green you don’t pick it, you don’t expect it to be mellow, you let it take its time even though other strawberries are way ahead. I think it’s important that we open our eyes sometimes to see the little things in life that actually can teach us a lot even when we least expect it.
