50 women,Lady Gaga, and Joe Biden take the stage during the Oscars and hold hands while Lady Gaga sings. Joe Biden says “We must and we can change the culture, so that no abused woman or man ever feels that they have to ask themselves, ‘What did I do?’ They did nothing wrong.” This has allowed for sexual assault survivors to be more open and talk about it. Chloe Allred, one of the survivors that was on stage, has created some art pieces based on. her experience of being a victim and survivor. 

Emma created this art piece to show the impact of sexual assault. She made this piece for herself to visualize the lasting impact that touch can have on an individual. This piece left many people with their mouth dropped on twitter, she got a lot of support from twitter with more the 125k shares and 300k+ likes.

This video is about a sexual assault survivor and what she does after the assault. She draws everyday for a year and by the end she feels freed. Her last drawing is called “I Am Free”. She created an exhibition called “365 Days” and she also started an online campaign to fund the project. 

I found this on the Infuse Gallery website. It is the story of a girl named Asha and how her mother gave her way to a family that could not have children, and was later rescued by the police. She shares her experiences through photos.

Around 1800 artist sign this letter. This letter calls on art institutions to remove offenders and confront inequality and abuse. 

This video’s goal was to facilitate discussion about the human rights issues of sexual abuse and domestic violence in the hope of raising greater awareness for prevention and resistance to victimization. It includes some percents and numbers that left me astonished, Sexual abuse is way more common then people think. This is a great video to watch to inform yourself on sexual abuse and hoe many people are actually affected by this topic.

Infuse Gallery was founded by Kyra Coates, a survivor of sexual abuse and assault. She wants to use this Gallery as a form to invite artist and put an end to the silence and shame of the stories of sexual abuse. Coates wants to offer an opportunity to let go of the fear and endure the pain that they have gone through and celebrate the return of wholeness that sexually abuses victims are ripped away from.

This video is about an initiative, “Welcome Them”, that Congo artists have started because they feel like not enough is being done to stop physical and sexual abuse of women.  

This picture is The Clothesline Project, this exhibition asks women to share their own personal experiences of sexual abuse. This exhibition is at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington.

This campaign is focused on artist workers that are sexually abuse and the main focus is that the people abusing them are the people that are above them in ranks. These people abuse the power that they have and take advantage of these artists that are trying to make it.
