Whenever I take breaks from drawing and stop posting for a few days on Instagram I inevitably loose followers, which is bullshit.
PLEASE, if you follow an artist on literally ANY PLATFORM, please do not unfollow them due to inactivity. Weβre not machines, itβs important to take breaks to avoid art burn out, or some artists have already reached art burn out or art block, or like with me, toΒ avoid straining your dominant hand from drawing so much. If you really want to support us youβd stay even if we go inactive for a bit. We have personal lives. We donβt have to post daily or even consistently.Β Unless an artist specifically states that their blog is going to be indefinitelyΒ inactive, thereβs no reason to unfollow them when they take breaks of inactivity.
Iβd say this is similar with what artists draw. Please donβt follow artists for one specific thing/fandom and not support their other art, or WORSE, unfollow them if they move onto a different thing/fandom.Β
Also this is the last thing I might be posting for a bit. My dominant hand is still hurting, and I shouldnβt be typing as such.
