“let’s be adventurous and try the new place.” he said with a grin before swinging an arm around her shoulder loosely. “this is going to be great, god i can use a night out with someone other that gianna or lee. don’t get me wrong, they’re both great but y’know you just get tired sometimes.” 

the girl pursed her lips, letting out a thoughtful hum  at his remark. "Ah yes, that’s what i am here for. A soother from gianna and lee. However," naomi paused to frown toward the window. "it might need to be a night in if we get the snow the forecast talked about. Though, I suppose there are worst things then being stuck in a pizza place."

“Uh yeah, yep. I just spent the past eight hours staring at the screen and going through my reading list, if I have to read another word for the rest of the night I might just quit college and start my career as a stripper in Atlanta.” she grabbed a sweater from the bed and threw it on. All in all she looked like a college student. Who was also possibly homeless. “KFC drive through?”

"Oh man, don't even get me started with that reading list. I think this semester will ruin me." she jogged in place, her ponytail swishing back and forth softly from the motion. "That sounds great. The idea of bringing the food back to the dorm sounds great. We can celebrate the last night of freedom."

“Alright you’ve convinced me. I know it’s the furthest thing from healthy but I’m still amazed that they managed to make a taco out of Dorito shells.”

“Yes! Taco Bell it is! I’m telling you, its a great establishment. Anyone who decides chips can be used as a shell is a genius. Also, those crunchwraps are sinfully good.”

“fuck yeah i am. count me in.” he said standing up glad that someone was going to get him to go out. “where do you want to go?”

“I’m really feeling pizza. we can try that new place they opened downtown or stick with the classic dominos.” her shoulders lifted in a shrug, either option guaranteeing to hit the spot. “What do you say?”

“Naomi Lewis, you’re a scholar and a saint. Waffle House is an institution and it’s about time I paid it another visit. I’m ready when you are!”

"Let me grab my keys! I think waffle house has been my biggest supporter throughout my time here. “

Vinny looked at his phone to check the time before shrugging. “I’m game… but lets go for something relatively healthy because I’m not trying to put on weight before the season starts.” 

“Did you know Taco Bell is said to be the healthiest fast food chain?”

“Depends…can we get DRINKS and ice cream on said food run?”

“now that would be an excellent idea. I say we go to walmart and pick up some beers, ice cream, and one of those hot and ready pizzas!”

“The answer to that is always yes. Are we thinking of breakfast food? Don’t hesitate to say no, but some cheesy hashbrowns sound so good.”

“I am one hundred percent down for waffle house. I don’t think I could ever say no to breakfast food, if I’m being honest.”

“ do those survey thingies even do anything? like, i doubt they even care about those kinds of things.  usually i just don’t do ‘em.” she shrugged, “what’s the paper on? maybe i can help out, if even just a tiny bit?” 

“I’m honestly not sure...but they should. I use them more to get all my annoyance out over projects. Like now, for instance,” she laughed. already she was feeling less stressed over the paper. “Thanks, Gianna. I might just write something random that vaguely has to do with the topic and hope that it is what the professor is looking for.”

“Yeah, I feel that“ Justin laughed, having remembered doing the same thing during his time at Yale as an undergraduate. “Well, paper writing just happens to be one of my strong suits so if you need someone to edit it or something let me know” he smiled before adding, “But be warned that I do charge for my services…at least two rounds of shots”

Naomi blew a strand of hair out of her face. “It seemed like an easier solution when I made the schedule.” at his offer and his price, she gave a small laugh. “I would expect nothing less...two shots seems reasonable. I would appreciate the help if I even knew what to ask for help with. The instructions are all over the place.”
