Reverse Justice

𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬

[TEXT]: Coffee?? That’s disgusting

[TEXT]: You’ve offended me greatly Asketchy

[TEXT]: …you don’t have to pay me back though.

   The slightly older man lets out a small sigh when the other called him a loser guessing the bonding was over. Closing his phone he decides to just wait for the young man to return home. It was only a few minutes before he heard the door open and the young man came in with the convenience store bag.

     “Well you’re awfully late.” Akechi plays along, offering a serious expression as he gets up and goes to the younger male. Though it slowly melts into a smile as he accepts the bag of milk and coffee. “Let me put that away for you, you can just relax.” He assured as he takes the bag and goes to put it in the kitchen. It was his way of thanking the other for taking the time to get what he had asked for. It was these moments that showed him that Akira was good at heart despite the other’s action.

     The other wasn’t bad for the sake of it and was a good man underneath just as much as the other pretended outside of the house.

He pulled off his shoes as soon as he got into the house. Though when the other actually played along he smiled a bit as the other took the bag and everything to put it away. Why did the other need coffee so late in the day though? Was he staying up late again? Probably with all the work he had to do.

“Sorry, my house husband forgot coffee and milk.” He teased lightly moving to sit at the kitchen table. His eyes were starting to bother him. Rubbing them a bit he glanced at Akechi curiously. “Why do you need coffee so late anyway? I drink coffee but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t help you get a good night’s sleep. And possibly addicting. You know like a drug. So, I guess its safe to say, if you’re addicted to coffee. You’re doing drugs.”

    “House husband- Do you really got to call me that?” He questioned exasperated as while played along the other really was too familiar. He was his parole officer and guardian not his friend. If anyone heard they would think he wasn’t taking his job seriously enough. Still Goro lets out a sigh guessing should have probably kept an eye on the kitchen items needed. Taking a sip of his coffee he looks at his papers as the other called him an addict.

     “It’s because i usually stay up late working and coffee the only thing that helps. Let me have my vice,” Goro said with a scoff as the other spoke casually about his caffeine addiction. As if he was going to give that up any time soon it wasn’t like any other drug. Since it helps him be productive placing the last cup of coffee he had before Akira saved the day down down.

   [Text]: Well, guess I should have expected that one.

     That was fair, the man shook his head glad that nothing really changed as it would be weird if the other just allowed the deal. As that would be too out of character for the other to honestly become well behaved. His eyes scanned the last message about the sky and he turns his head to look out the window. The sky was red, blue and purple as the sun was likely setting though he wouldn’t  be able to see it. Still, it was pretty.

   [Text]: It is, I don’t look at the sky enough these days usually I’m looking into a case file indoors.    [Text]: Please get here soon, I need my coffee.

[TEXT]: I’ll take my time don’t worry.

[TEXT]: You also don’t look at the sky enough because you’re a loser.

Akechi was too damn easy to mess with. He probably wasn’t that much older then Yami, but still he was cute in his own way.Not that he’d ever admit it to his face. Scanning his phone looking for a sign of his parents’ attention he sighed sadly and finally reached the house. Pushing his phone into his pocket, he opened the door.

     “Well you’re awfully late.” Akechi plays along, offering a serious expression as he gets up and goes to the younger male. Though it slowly melts into a smile as he accepts the bag of milk and coffee. “Let me put that away for you, you can just relax.” He assured as he takes the bag and goes to put it in the kitchen. It was his way of thanking the other for taking the time to get what he had asked for. It was these moments that showed him that Akira was good at heart despite the other’s action.

     To be fair the other was only asking for cuddles, still, it was definitely out of the ordinary to be so physical. Strangely, he could tell the other was being weirdly genuine in this situation and maybe this was a chance to get the teen to become nicer. Any excuse for Akira to actually behave and make life easier was worth the small sacrifice of his personal space.

   [Text]: Ugh, you’re impossible.    [Text]: But fine if I allow this then you have to be on your best behavior for the week.    [Text]: AND BE MINDFUL OF WHERE YOU PUT YOUR HANDS.

[TEXT]: I don’t think I can do that. Me and best behavior don’t go in the same sentence.

He snickered a bit before shaking his head and walking back towards Akechi’s place. He glanced at the sky a bit noting the slowly darkening sky. Yeah maybe he should be nicer. He had literally nothing else. He still needed to figure out something to do when the year ended.

[TEXT]: It’s only inappropriate if we make it inappropriate.

[TEXT]: Come on I’ve been doing good. I deserve it.

   Akechi had been waiting a bit for the other to finish typing though it seemed the other thought otherwise. As it stopped after the other said that he won’t do it again. A part of him wondered if it was a smart aleck response which he wouldn’t put past the teen. So decided not to ask what the other was going to say and accepted the others words. Even though it wasn’t really a apology but it’s better then nothing.

   [Text]: It’s still considered stealing if you do it without the others persons consent.    [Text]: Either way, just get home safely I don’t want you staying out for too long.    [Text]: And thank you Akira. Be careful.

Yami honestly didn’t want to be lectured through text about why he was an idiot. He knew. But he just wanted to stay out a bit and enjoy some freedom. He might actually have to try and be nice to Akechi so the guy would let him leave the house more. Whatever he had to do to get something good. Though he was definitely feeling a bit more kind at Akechi’s words.

He had to roll his eyes. He had gotten a part time job after school. And he wanted one for a night shift but he doubted Akechi would allow that. He realized rather quick his parents weren’t sending money anymore. They have him 500¥ but that wasn’t much.

     “No I’m not poor, but I’m not wasting half an hour cooking food,” Akechi stated, ignoring the other’s annoyance. Though he soon lets out a sigh as he stopped working moving his gloved hand to rub his forehead. It was hard to concentrate when all Akira wanted to do was to whine. Usually, it seemed like ‘Yami’, as the kid insisted on being called, would be polite to most people. But with him, it seemed like the kid WANTED to be thrown out. It was that kind of behavior that even got the boy into this situation.

     “Akira,” He was not calling the kid Yami they were not friends after all. “You do realize that if you want attention you can ask like a normal human being. Instead of constantly bothering and nagging me to the point I am considering a form of punishment. It’s a bad habit, one that’s got you into this situation.” He was only saying this cause he was concerned about the male. Eventually, it might consume Yami and there might be a decision he can never take back.

Obsidian eyes stared at the male as he talked. He could get that. Why cook when you could just order out? It was easier, but Yami didn’t have expensive taste for nothing. Take out was only something he experienced once he arrived in Tokyo. It wasn’t the best, but it beat starving. Though now he wasn’t hungry. He laid his head down on his notebook and started doodling. He wanted to go home. Though he wasn’t even sure his parents would want him back.

“Hm?” He glanced up hearing his name and sighed, eyes peeking over to top rim of his glasses. Once Akechi got serious he knew to act a bit more like his age. Though the topic surprised him. He couldn’t deny wanting attention. But it wasn’t that he wanted it from Akechi. He knew they couldn’t see or probably even care, but he wanted his parents. “Sorry, I’m just annoyed. This entire situation bothers me.”

     “I know, but taking it out on me isn’t going to help you.” Akechi answered, though he was glad to hear the other at least be honest about it. Still his eyes glanced over the male when he saw the other doodling. Getting to his feet he he walked over to the teen’s side to gently pat the males back. “Anyway, try not to think too much about it. What’s done is done and you should focus on getting through the year without getting into trouble.”

     There was a reason Akechi was considered such a good detective as he never allowed his emotions to cloud his judgment. Sure he was annoyed at the teen but he found more profit in keeping calm with a smile. Enjoying how the other seemed ready to snap back at him lecturing only for the pocky to be hit on the head. Seemed the teen needed a bit more Proficiency to dodge anything from his guardian.

     “Finish up your homework and you’ll have a lot more free time.” He pointed out, though he frowned when the younger male seemed annoyed at taking out. It wasn’t his fault that he was too busy to cook and he wasn’t so rich that they could eat out often. Sometimes he forgot that the kid had a very high upbringing considering the temper Akira had. 

     “There’s nothing wrong with take out, it’s fast and filling. As long as you work it out there is no harm in it once in a while. You’re much too picky.” He stated, taking out his phone as he considered delivery. Maybe some chinese food, he was feeling some rich and orange chicken.

Ugh this guy was disgusting. So prime and proper. Acting like such hot shit because he was a big bad detective. It pissed Yami off. He hoped that long flowing hair got stuck in a fan and he went bald. He hated when people looked down on him and treated him like a kid. And Akechi was the worst person to wind up taking care of him.

“I’m slowly dying. Of boredom. And its all your fault.” He quipped in annoyance tilting his chair back. Reaching into his pocket he glanced at his messages. Nothing new. Just his friends wanting to hang out. But Yami didn’t feel like it. He wanted to curl up in his room and forget the world existed but homework and being a functioning member of society was preventing that.
