She was simply swaying side to side now, appreciating the conversation, which was evident by her expression; casual happiness.

Unfortunately, her target, the thief, was fast. She was more used to reaching speeds on horseback than her own feet. If someone didn’t intervene, he’d certainly get away.

Fortunately, someone did.

Maribelle came to a halt, taking in what just happened. Graciously, she accepted her book, stepping forward to ram her boot into the thief’s side, and beamed at the young lady who had retrieved it for her.

“Wow! You’re even prettier up close, and definitely matching that fancy book of yours.”

       “I’m all for helping those in need, so it was my pleasure.-- And oh! I’m Vanille..I actually only just arrived here, so it was sorta’ right place, right time situation I landed myself in.” 

She sent a hand out Maribelle’s way offering a friendly handshake since the woman did in fact, seem rather friendly.
