Hooked does a nice and very succinct job of explaining the tactics used by many of your favorite digital products and app makers to get users to make a regular habit of using their products. It’s also a manual for those who are trying to do this with their own products, with many straightforward frameworks and examples. But amidst all the current conversation on digital wellness and addiction by design, I thought this “manipulation matrix” was so simple and on point - my favorite part of the book.
