I just, really need to express how emotional I am about it. But basically, you know that old thing that talked about how Harry never lets go of a hug first? That is 10000% true.
Basically, I walked down these stairs in to a tiny room back stage that was so warm and cosy. And the first thing I saw were his vans and his black track pants with the colourful stripes up the side, he looked so comfortable. And then as I got closer I saw the rest of him, and he was looking right at me. I gave him a big smile and said “hang on, let me take my shoes off, I’m too tall otherwise!” And stumbled to get my heels off, he stood back and chuckled, said “you legend, thank you.” (It was just me, my sister, a photographer and videographer, to capture the moment.) Then as soon as my shoes were off and I was in my crisp white socks, I basically rushed right in to his arms, and was engulfed by his warmth and long arms wrapping around my waist and back. It was the tightest, warmest, and most lovely, long hug I’ve ever had. We fit so well, with our faces pressed in to each others necks. He was running his hand up and down my back, and I said a gentle “hello” and he said “Hi, you alright?” And let out a breathy laugh, right in to my ear, that rumbled through my entire body, I felt his belly rise and fall against mine as he laughed, we were that squished together. And I felt his breath against my neck. My sister actually said she felt awkward, and everyone else in the room did a bit too, because we were being so intimate and hugging for SO long, in the audio you hear her say “good grief.” Because of us whispering little things in to each others ears, and swaying back and forth while we EMBRACED. My eyes were closed, and my chin was hooked over his lovely shoulder, and I can still feel him on me. It was a hug I’ll never forget, and I know he felt just how much love I have for him radiating from it. I’ve always talked about what it must be like to feel Harry’s chest rise and fall against you, to hear him breathe and hear his heart beat. And I did that. He’s a real, solid, yet so soft and warm person, and nothing will ever compare to that moment. As we were swaying, I realised he wasn’t letting up, or letting go. He really was in it for the long run! And I was the one that had to pull away, and just look at him, in awe.
