Ninth-Siren

Alright well first I should address the moving. I am moving Myde to a multimuse so I can just freely play anyone whenever. I’m also doing as a sort of Fresh start. It doesn’t mean I don’t want to rp with you. On the contrary I would love if people followed me on the new blog for more Myde and other muses I have.

A few quick sketches and notes when holding the wings, delicately running his thumb over them. Soft as a pillow to the touch, yet the muscle holding them was the complete opposite. It explained how they got so much air from a single flap. “Forgive me, this is a dream.”

Taking a step back, pen flying across the pages as he took notes as well as doodles. Eventually ending with a sketch of Myde with annotations around it. “I appreciate you doing this for me.” Bowing in respect and gratitude. “If there is anything I may do in return?”

Myde listened to the scratching sound of pencil on paper as the other sketched and made notes. He strangely felt perfectly at ease with this. Even if he’d had bad run ins with people who wanted to ‘study’ him in the past. He didn’t get bad vibes from Even in the slightest. “It’s a dream to study someone like me?”

“Dem, you’re really starting to confuse me…” Xigbar grumbled. “And it’s not funny.”

He liked to think of himself as being pretty composed most of the time, but even Xigbar had to admit how irritated he was with the situation. Demyx -Myde… whoever!- acting even more dense than usual was not helping either.  And just what was with all those ‘handsome’ comments? Not that Xigbar did not appreciate it, it was just more weirdness that Xigbar had no patience for right now. “Keyblade Graveyard.” He corrected, “You know, where we were supposed to meet with the others?”

Xigbar was starting to suspect that something had gone very wrong on his way to the Keyblade Graveyard. If this really was Fantasia, and the man sitting with him really was a recompleted Demyx, then there definitely was something fishy going on, but still Xigbar could not remember what had happened. “Ugh forget it!” He finally huffed, “Fine, whatever’s going on, I’ll play along.”

“I really don’t know who this Dem is...I’ve never gone by any other name than my own..well other than my nickname Sunshine but that’s not even close to that name.” He frowned equally confused. 

“There is a graveyard for keyblades?” He blinked at him with wide eyes. Summoning forte to his hand he looked at it and then up. “But Master Yen sid said I was the only wielder on Fantasia..how can there be a whole graveyard of them.”

“Yes, Radiant Garden isn’t exactly known for wild boar,” Isa responds, chuckling a bit himself. He tries to imagine Myde hunting in the wild but finds it difficult; then again, Isa himself has never hunted for anything other than good deals at the supermarket. His mother was the hunter in his family and his mom was the cook. Isa had been too fond of animals to kill any himself, bursting into tears whenever he’d stumbled upon his mother preparing one of her kills.

“You’re a braver man than I am.”

“Braver?” He tilted his head blind eyes doing their best to settle somewhere on his face. “Hunting isn’t really about being brave its about survival. For yourself and for your herd..er family. Every able bodied male of my people were hunters. Even my keyblade transforms into a bow.”

The answer just left Xigbar even more confused.

 “Myde?” It did not take a genius to figure out that ‘Myde’ was Demyx’s real name but… “When did you get recompleted?” There was movement at the top of Myde’s head and Xigbar stumbled back a bit in surprise as he noticed the wings for the first time. One set on Myde’s head and one on his back. Where had those come from?

And this nonsense about them being in Fantasia was impossible. Xigbar knew for a fact that Fantasia was long gone. Yet, as he looked around at his surroundings, there was no denying that Fantasia was exactly where they were.

“No way.” He said, rubbing his head to check for injuries, “The last thing I remember is being in the Graveyard…”

“…oh.” Isa isn’t quite certain which way Myde is using like; nevertheless, he offers the other man a tentative smile, small but no less genuine for it. “Well…thank you. It’s much appreciated.”

He mentally scrambles for something else to say. Small talk? Isa’s never heard of it. “What kind of stew did you make?”

“It’s forest stew the same my mother used to make. Though I used more store brand ingredients than I would have in the old days. But its kind of hard to hunt down a wild boar in these parts so Pork from the butcher shop will do.” he chuckled a little bit.

“Why are you being so sweet to me,” Isa mumbles, taking the offered gloves and putting them on before wrapping himself in that warm blanket, still smelling of electric heat. “I’ve been a grouch all day.”

At the very mention of stew, his stomach gives a pathetic gurgle.

“Wait, what?” Isa peers out the window overlooking their front door; as luck would have it, Myde truly is just outside. Then again, he supposes, making his way downstairs, he could’ve just listened for a knock.

“Er,” is the first thing Isa says once he opens the door. “Hi. Nice…to see you. Come in, you’re letting all the hot air out.” It’s meant as a joke, but he’s too keyed up to remember to emote with his voice or facial expressions.
