Casually seeing this around all the time on my other account is always so jarring and it’s kind of annoying me so yeah I’ve logged back into this one to say something about it now.

I don’t mind people using my icons without credit, but reposting them and saying “(Free pfp btw)” as well as using a bunch of main tags makes it feel like you’re claiming that you made them. You did not.
Since the last post from this account is 2022, I doubt saying anything will matter now, but littleelotuss reposts lots of icons. Some of them even have the original editor’s watermarks on them and the most they’ve said was "I don’t own these.” Which as you can see, they did not do on this post.
Editors are very important to fandom, especially in spaces such as tumblr. Please do not disrespect us like this. It’s rude and discouraging. Even if I don’t use this blog anymore, seeing this in the tags is not a good feeling. It’s not a compliment to have my edits reposted and retagged with no mention of me at all, and the implications that it was the reposter who made the edits.
This post might not have has many notes as either of my original posts on their own, much less combined. But it still has a lot. 64 likes and 8 reblogs. At least 64 different people saw this post and likely thought littleelotuss made these icons. The two reblogs with notes only further that idea. And that’s not a nice feeling to have as the actual editor.
Don’t do stuff like this. If you’re going to repost edits, link to whoever made them.
