okay so, this will be a long post but genuinely i need ideas.
when i was in middle school, someone at said school (whose identity will remain anonymous for my safety) groomed me. as with many children who are victimized at a young age, i didnāt know what was happening and, to this day, i donāt have evidence of what he did. for a while, i was able to console myself because he wasnāt working with children anymore. he had been fired for a unrelated reason. from what iāve been able to gather, he falsely accused a male child of sexually assaulting a classmate. the irony of that is astounding. he worked in real estate for a while, but i just found out heās back to working at a different middle school. there are a few things that are important to note. 1) he worked at a private christian school, so the rules regarding child protection will probably be different. 2) the church affiliated with said school is run by a narcissist who has been his friend and ally for years. that being said, does anyone have any ideas at how i could get him fired before he hurts another child the way he did me?
also i donāt normally ask for reblogs. but i think the more people who see this post, the more likely ill find something that will work.
My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.
Shoutout to people in the notes also mentioning people learning the language, I should've mentioned that really, given that I've been stuck reading German picture books myself while learning German.
