Sandals of Tutankhamun

A pair of sandals restored from the tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62). Made of leather, gold and faience. They are currently in the conservation laboratory of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). 

The Mummy of Djeptahiufankh 

Mummified remains of the Egyptian prince Djedptahiufankh, the son of the High Priest of Amun. Djedptahiufankh was known as the Fourth Prophet of Amun, during the reign of Shoshenq I (ca. 943-922 BC), founder of the 22nd Dynasty. 

He was the son of a priest and one of the most important state officials at Thebes at that time.
