GIRL ALMIGHTY

Not for one second did I ever think I would love a band as much as I do today, and I don’t regret any part of it. Often I get made fun of and criticized for loving them because of everyone’s assumptions that they are a “boy band”, when really if they took the time to actually listen to one of their albums, they would realize they actually make great music. The whole “boy band” label is stereotyped with One Direction because of bands like Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, etc. Yes, I do admit One Directions first album Up All Night has a more poppy sound to it but that was also 5 years ago; times change, music changes.

One Direction really found their sound in Midnight Memories and have created nothing short of masterpieces since then. They take old rock vibes from Fleetwood Mack for example and apply it to their sound. People underestimate their talent and their music writing skills because they are too ignorant to take the time to listen to some of their music. One Direction has grown up so much as a band. Losing a member who was with them since day 1 has only brought them together stronger then ever. They have proved that they can still be the greatest band of our time and will continue to dominate the charts. All of their voices have gotten stronger and their vocal ability has really proved greatness in their new work. Personally, I can’t freaking wait for Made In The A.M to be released so I can shove it in all the non-believers faces that they in fact can and WILL rule this music industry as an all boy group.

To all of the people who hate One Direction: I hope one day you can open your minds and embrace the good talent out there. I’ll be here waiting to say I told you so. ✌🏻️
