Last image set taken in Stanley Falkland Islands...before heading to Ushuaia Argentina!
New Addition to the Family - Nikon Z5 50-250mm F/4.5-6.3
Picked this up while in Tokyo a couple of weeks back for USD200!
I will showcase the field tests results of scenes taken in Japan soon but I did get it with the optional HB-90A petal hood to eliminate incident lights. Being a feather-weight glass, it offers no weather-sealing whatsoever.
While heading back to the dock...catching the only post office and even an Anglican church called Christ Church Cathedral.
The wind speed picked up that day and creeps into all our bones as everyone made a beeline to board the tether boats back to the ship.
Let me try to wrap up the photo walk right at Stanley by dropping by at the Falkland Islands Museum and National Trust, where you get a glimpse of creatures commonly found here.
Yes, there are cruise expeditions to Antartica based from this island but I read that fishing remains the primary driver for her mini economy.

With tech wizardy to propel the country's agenda towards innovation, distinction and integrity, I think there's still much to bring onto the table by Singapore onto the world's stage in 2026!
Well done Singapore!
On the side note, let's just say that my field test of the inexpensive Nikon Z 50-250mm lens here has brought some big smiles on my face today!
With focus on solidarity as the central theme of each parade, the atmosphere was on point and delivers a brilliant display of creativity, color and spirit of Singapore.
Bravo!
My very first visit within Singapore's Indoor stadium to take a glimpse of what's installed on the 9th August for Singapore 61st birthday!
The Falkland Islands cover about 12,173 km² (4,700 sq mi) and have a population of roughly 3,600–4,000 people, making them one of the most sparsely populated territories in the world. The capital is Stanley, located on East Falkland, where most residents live.
The Falkland Islands government today funds itself primarily through revenues from fishing licenses, corporate taxes, and investments, rather than relying on UK subsidies. Fishing — especially squid — is the single largest source of income, supplemented by tourism, agriculture, and carefully managed sovereign investment funds.
Finally, some penguins for you guys over at Falkland Islands!
The Falkland Islands are currently a self-governing British Overseas Territory under UK administration, but Argentina disputes this sovereignty and claims the islands as “Islas Malvinas.” Who knows if the next war will come to this controversial island again!

The Rationale Behind Apple's Move and My Weighted Decision for 2026-2028
With Apple's recent US$250M court settlement just behind her misleading AI fiasco, I do sincerely hope this will only cascade outside America for the justice many worldwide customers seek against the smoking AI mirrors Apple casted.
I, for one, have remained skeptical to the more empty promises made over WWDC 2026, with me resorting to get my iPhones 16e and 17e in China instead. The advantages are two-fold: cheaper pricing (compared to outside China) while ensuring Apple Intelligence remains disabled for these China variants.
On the front of my Apple tablets, the clash of rising hardware cost over an ever-limited iPad OS software can only mean a clear resolve on my end not to replace my aging Apple iPad Pro 12.9". It's clear that Apple will rather pivot her entire computing solution towards the more capable Mac OS from 2026. The recently-announced Macbook Neo proved this argument, with that verdict to be quickly reaffirmed by the soon-to-be-announced touch-enabled laptops she will launch later this same year.
The switch-out from what remaining mileage the iPad OS has left is already happening on my end. The weighted response to choose an Apple Macbook Neo over another iPad Air 13 (before Apple executes her confirmed price increase later in 2026) is not only saving me over US$650 but also enhancing my overall mobile productivity!
Yes, my Apple iPhone 17e and Apple Macbook Neo combo will be field tested in Japan next week!
UPDATE 3 JULY - The Macbook Neo was put through the paces of my various workflows in Japan, mainly covering my Steam game libraries, research work and basic electronic communication. Just to be clear, it struggled with some game titles, and scrape by with some other AAA titles like XCOM 2, while performing bearably better on less complex applications like Pages, DxO Photolab AFTER a slew of optimization was performed with the use of Mole. It was also intentionally upgraded to Mac OS Golden Gate 27 Developer Beta to further provide a further performance boost.
But the 13" screen was still noticeably smaller than my MacBook Air, with the absence of keyboard backlighting and lack of true-tone as somewhat of a letdown to me. Perhaps, it gave the promise of an iPad Air 13 replacement but at the end, failed to deliver neither the convenience of an iPad nor the capability of a more powerful laptop.
Yes, not even it's only redeeming feature of 1.2kg prevented me from returning the Neo back to Apple.
New Addition to the Family - Apple Macbook Neo 512GB Silver
Picked this up today, ready to be field tested in Tokyo next week!
I do hope its as good as it's being proofed by many Youtube's influencers! But as far as I am concerned, it will be used primarily for DxO Photolab 9 operations among other light-weight tasks.
Silver as this will ensure light scratches don't get highlighted over time...
Whenever I mention about the Falkland island, its often interjected with The Falklands War - A short yet brutal conflict in 1982 between Argentina and the United Kingdom, lasting just 74 days but leaving nearly 1,000 dead. It was triggered by Argentina’s invasion of the Falkland Islands, a disputed territory in the South Atlantic, and ended with a decisive British victory.
As controversial as the island still is today, the waves that battered our landing craft kinda mark the chaos everyone was thrown into, from what began as a nice ride into the harbor to the smell of pukes on the boat from passengers who just had enough of the brutal waves that tossed us into the air across the 45 minutes!
Welcome to Buenos Aires!
Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires is one of the world’s most prestigious opera houses, renowned for its extraordinary acoustics and grand architecture. Opened in 1908, it has hosted legendary performers like Maria Callas, Luciano Pavarotti, and Rudolf Nureyev, and remains a cultural landmark in Argentina.
As for Buenos Aires, she is the vibrant capital of Argentina, known for tango, eclectic European-style architecture, and its rich cultural life. With over 3 million residents in the city proper and more than 16 million in the metropolitan area, it’s one of South America’s largest and most diverse urban centers.
Walk with me as I approach into the central of Montevideo today!
For over a century, Montevideo was a heavily fortified Spanish garrison town surrounded by massive stone walls and protected by a dominant Citadel. However, after Uruguay finally consolidated its hard-fought independence, the old defensive walls began to limit the growing population. In 1833, the colonial citadel was demolished, and in 1837, Italian architect Carlo Zucchi was tasked with designing a "New City" (Ciudad Nueva) to accommodate urban expansion. Inspired by the elegant Rue de Rivoli in Paris, Zucchi laid out the square right at the boundary where the old fortified city ended, making it the monumental gateway to modern Montevideo.
And that essentially leads us to Plaza Independencia - the most important and historically symbolic public square in Montevideo, Uruguay. Serving as the literal bridge between the old colonial past and modern urban development, its story reflects the evolution, struggle, and cultural pride of the entire nation.

Just look at the richness of this place! It looks so different compared to the harbor itself! Enjoy the eye candies as I take you deeper into the central part of the city!
Montevideo offers excellent guided walking tours that showcase its history, architecture, and vibrant culture. Most tours last about 3 hours and cover highlights like Mercado del Puerto, Plaza Zabala, Teatro Solís, and the scenic Rambla along the Río de la Plata.
Here, I have Oscar guiding us along that day.
