“mr. mikaelson, i’m sorry. that was rude. what were you saying?”

“now that’s much better.” he looked at the young salvatore with his signature smirk on his lips. “i think your father is ignoring me, which is just plain rude.”

& – It wasn’t the kind of place that Bonnie imagined herself raising her children, but none the less here she is. For better or worse. The use of her actual name has Bonnie tensing, emerald orbs turning upward to find his own blue; studying him a long moment. “To a certain extent, yes.” In what freakish universe did she imagine herself talking to Klaus without some kind of hidden motive, or threat being offered? Lord only knows. “I’m just….concerned about my kids.”

The whole domestic ordeal wasn’t his thing, and anyone smart enough could see it, but on some days he did try. Not that he started liking any of these people all of a sudden, but his family had grown quite a bit and although he didn’t fear a war against the old gang, the consequences could be catastrophic for both sides. It was best to be civil and as polite as possible. “Uhm... Allow me to intrude here ─ you know I’ll do it either way,” a laugh escaped his lips, “but perhaps there’s more to it, no?”

“ my children and damon will probably think i’m crazy but i already put up our christmas tree. “      elena smiled brightly, showing the other a photo of her tree on her phone.      

“It’s cute really. How you think I’m listening..”

“If you were, that would be rather concerning, love. These are the first words to leave my pretty little mouth since I entered the room.”

& – There’s a moment of silence as she stares at the other, her brows furrowing tightly in turn; unsure how to approach this. It’s probably best if she continues to keep the silence, aside from a soft sigh she lets out as she caves and offers a brisk nod as the only confirmation towards the other.

Klaus was slightly confused by this exchange, or lack of one. Given his history with Bonnie and her friends, the two of them didn’t have much of a relationship. It was only expected, and the hybrid didn’t want it any different. But seeing as she seemed to acknowledge his presence with a nod, he thought it fit to do the same. “Something troubling you, Bonnie?”

evangeline removed her lips from the young man’s neck, canine’s retracting as she did so. she reached a hand up, wiping at a spot of blood at the corner of her mouth with her thumb. she spun the man around, looking him in the eyes.“ go to your home, clean yourself up and pretend this never happened. off you go, dear, ” she compelled the human, smiling as she watched him walk.
