GAME 2: Exploring fresh perspectives through the Fishbowl game activity.
Weekly blog- February 25, 2024
In our second week of technopreneurship class, we learned about a activity called the Fishbowl game. In this game, one person observes while the others play. It's like a open converstion where we discuss questions related to the 7P's framework, which helps us understand different aspects of a business idea.
During the Fishbowl game, we talk about why we're doing our business, what we're creating, who's involved, how we're doing it, preparation, real-life issues, and problems to be aware of. We share our thoughts on the relevance of sustainable development goals, talk about challenges and opportunities, and brainstorm creative solutions to promote sustainable development.
During the game, we were really captivated by the idea about solar lamp. We discussed how these lamps use solar energy to offer clean, sustainable lighting, which is especially useful in locations without access to traditional power sources or with limited resources. Solar lamps are a valuable tool for eliminating energy poverty and achieving sustainable development due to their simplicity and efficiency.
This week, I've noticed something significant that we could improve upon: our social interactions. It seems like we have varying personalities within our group—some of us lean more towards introversion, while others are more extroverted. However, I believe that these differences shouldn't hinder our progress. Instead, they present an opportunity for growth. By stepping out of our comfort zones and finding common ground, we can effectively collaborate and achieve our goals.
Accepting and utilizing all that we have while cooperating with one another is essential. We may improve our conversations and decision-making processes by utilizing the distinct strengths and viewpoints that each person brings to the table. We have to understand that differences in our group can work to our advantage rather than against us.
Improving our socialization skills is not just about personal development; it's also important for our future success, particularly when it comes to interacting with potential customers. Building rapport, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating our ideas are essential aspects of entrepreneurship. By honing our social skills now, we can better navigate these interactions and ultimately enhance our business prospects.
Therefore, I believe that investing time and effort into improving our socialization skills will greatly benefit us in the long run. It's about fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute their ideas and perspectives. With determination and a willingness to step outside of our comfort zones, I am confident that we can overcome any challenges and thrive as a team.
