Listen, I understand the appeal of redesigning NPCs. I really do. I learned to mod just to give River more clothes ya know

Changing clothes, hairstyles, tattoos, makeup, accessories… that’s all part of customization, and I think it’s fun. But sometimes people take it way too far.

When you’re changing core facial features, lightening skin, adding or removing defining features, or altering the traits that make a character look like their intended ethnicity to fit a more Eurocentric beauty standard, you’ve stopped redesigning the character and started replacing them.

I got called “DEI” because I pointed out that someone had whitewashed the hell out of Panam. Meanwhile, people have no problem with mods that completely change characters like that “Hot Boi” River mod. Which turns him into someone he’s not. To me, that’s where the line is. Customize the outfit. Change the hair. Give them new makeup. Have fun with it. But once you erase the features that make a character who they are, especially the features tied to their identity, it just feels gross to me.

finally getting to romance kerry again and i'm so normal about it. stares at boat drinks being my tracked quest. passes away.

kerry's romance in the context of vin means so much to me, especially since i've been rotating how their relationship feels akin to some kind of soulmate trope. i don't even like soulmates all that much, but for vin and kerry? makin' an exception bc it fits them so well.

vin is and always will be a steady ground for kerry to stand on, his rock to his roll. they have their moments post-tower ending (my god, their spats...) but man, without vin, kerry felt hopeless, and kerry completes the puzzle that is vin's life.

i... actually didn't meant to ramble about them here but been writing them in my post-tower fic and they have me a bit emotional. so yeah. idk. have this pretty pic i guess LOL.

New chapter that waited for a long time! I made this one in late October 2025 but I felt right away it should be posted later, way later then I made it. It's been several times since the name of Goldhand appeared in the text, not sure if it is still possible to recall what was the story Clair told, but I hope it will be understandable.

since it was done very long ago, there is some regrets on my side in terms of the quality I'd prefer now, yet I'll proceed with what I have now.
