Just a friendly reminder that any artist signed onto Modest Management and Syco records through X-Factor (aka, One Direction and Little Mix):

aren’t allowed to say anything negative about Simon Cowell, Modest, or Syco records.

Sign away any and all performance rights to the show.

Are only given 3 weeks to sign the contracts & and can only consult with 1 of 3 Simon Cowell approved lawyers.

Only ever see about 7-15% of what they make

Has to sign with Modest Management in a contract that can last up to 14 years.

Gives up all rights to choose final album tracks, producers, and single releases.

Have to give up to 5% of all their earnings to Simon Cowell.

Also keep in mind that all the members of One Direction and Little Mix were between the ages of 16-20 when they signed these contracts. Tell me again how the shitty way they’re marketed is all their fault.
