Pls a compilation of random funfacts about Ted?? I want the learn the tiniest, most useless info about him
i've answered this sort of thing before, so this may not be extremely new information
1. Ted's original college major was in chinese language & asian studies. He would go down to chinatown in seattle with His girlfriend liz to practice His speaking skills with restaurant workers (which was apparently pretty awkward)
2. on death row, Ted sometimes signed His letters with the name "sam," for some reason. sam was the name of his grandfather (and possible father) who was (according to some people) a very abusive asshole. certain psychologists believe that this is a sign that Ted had dissociative identity disorder, essentially possessing an alter of His grandfather in His mind that may have been connected to His violent tendencies
3. Ted had a particular (probably somewhat sexual) fixation on socks, specifically white crew socks
4. Ted was a severe kleptomaniac; He was always stealing thingsโa navajo rug, electronics, expensive food, debit/credit cards, skiing gear, cars, a potted tree, etc.
5. Ted was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. He experienced months-long depressive episodes where He could barely leave His bed or take care of Himself. at one point during detective bob keppel's initial investigation of the early murders in washington, he questioned if there might be some astrological or cultish aspect to the crimes, considering that they happened monthly as if on a timer. this could have been related to Ted's bipolar disorder cycling in a monthly pattern...
6. Ted had a severe phobia of running out of gas for His car while on the road. He stopped to refuel constantly, with gas receipts ending up becoming part of the evidence in court used to trace His trail while He was committing the murders
7. Ted loved steak, red wine, cheeseburgers, milkshakes, tacos, whiskey, and beer (his favorite being mickey's malt beer)
8. while identifying strongly as a republican and doing volunteer campaign work (including spying) for the republican party in washington, most of Ted's political opinions were actually very liberal by our modern standards. Ted was extremely against the vietnam war, for gun control, pro-choice, strongly against racism, and somewhat feminist, believing women to be superior to men
...i could probably keep going, but i'll stop here for now...
