After so many years of living in the woods being surrounded by the fear of what may happen she's just happy to be back in normal society. As much as she wishes it wasn't with this curse it's a chance she refuses to waste. She tries to not think so much about what's happened and deal with it instead. Aurora is hopeful she will find the answer to the curse but so far it's been all dead ends. At least she isn't stuck in the cottage anymore, though she isn't too fond of being a woman of such status either. Aurora got comfortable there and as happy as she is to be back she wants more out of life. Regardless of the curse she is going to make the best of what she has.
Flora, Fauna, and Mary still feel more like family than her actual parents. It isn't that she doesn't love them too but after being raised by the women there's a different connection she hasn't been able to form with her biological parents. Even though they were only trying to protect her she doesn't feel as close with them as she does the three women.
Aurora is glad to be back in normal society but she isn't thrilled with her status. Suddenly there are expectations of her that she didn't have before and never quite wanted in the first place. She wonders if it would've been different if there hadn't been a curse and she was able to be a normal girl. In another life she'd study plants and have a little flower shop of her own.
Sleeping is her least favorite part of the day and she does everything she can to stay awake. That's why she can almost always be seen with a caffeinated beverage in hand. Coffee, tea, energy drinks, it doesn't matter. Whatever can keep her awake and away from the nightmares that come with it.
She lives with a lot of guilt for her darkness seeping into people's dreams. The last thing she wants is for others to experience some of the terrors she has and yet Aurora has brought them into their heads. Even though she knows it isn't her fault she can't help but to blame herself for it.
The idea of getting married to a stranger upsets her. Aurora doesn't have interest in the slightest to marry anyone right now. It feels like her life has just begun and they already want to tie her down to someone. It feels like a death march for her freedom. She wants her marriage to be a choice she makes, no one anyone makes for her. That's why she doesn't tell anyone about the man and refuses to until it feels more official.
Her room at her parents house is filled to the brim with plants of all kinds. They are the closest thing she has to a floral shop and she treasures it. Of course she's made sure none of them are poisonous to her bunny, Juniper.
She found her pet rabbit while out in the woods one day. It was clear she'd had been dumped by her prior owners and left for dead. Aurora immediately brought her back home to the cottage and nursed her back to health. She has been her closest friend ever since, sometimes the only one she had to talk to in the cottage when everyone was out.
