While there is a lot to unpack, one thing the crossover manages to avoid is Flash dying. Face it; we already know. Killing off the titular character in the midst of an ongoing show will not work. Unlike Arrow, which is ending soon, Flash still has a future. Plus, the series always talks about changing fates. Everything written can be rewritten. Not even Monitor foresees that Oliver would die so early. All the effort preparing the team for his death now seems like a waste of precious screen time. The conclusion will air January 14, 2020.
