Tales of Haso : Nightingale's Song

𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒩𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒶𝓁𝑒, 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝒶𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑒. 𝐸𝓋𝑒𝓃 𝓌𝒽𝑒𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝓉𝒶𝓇𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓁𝑒𝒻𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓃𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝓉𝑜 𝑒𝓍𝓅𝓁𝑜𝓇𝑒, 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒩𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒶𝓁𝑒 𝒻𝑜𝓊𝓃𝒹 𝒽𝑒𝓇𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓂𝓅𝒶𝓃𝓎 𝑜𝒻 𝐿𝒶𝒹𝓎 𝒟𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑀𝒶𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝐿𝑒𝓋𝒾𝒶𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓃.

I have been working and learning more about this new place, finding a home, though perhaps temporary with both The Lady and the Master. When I have a chance, I try to impart a little of my culture and life in Haso upon them both. 

𝒜 𝓈𝑜𝓃𝑔 𝑜𝒻 𝒽𝑜𝓂𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒸𝑒 𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓇𝑔𝑒𝒹 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒩𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒶𝓁𝑒 𝒶𝓈 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝑒𝓍𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒾𝓃𝑒𝒹 𝓌𝒽𝑜 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝒽𝒶𝒹 𝒹𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝒷𝑒𝒻𝑜𝓇𝑒 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝓁𝑒𝒻𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑔𝒶𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃 𝒶𝒸𝓇𝑜𝓈𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝑒𝒶. 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝐿𝒶𝒹𝓎 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝑀𝒶𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝓃𝑜𝒹𝒹𝑒𝒹, 𝓉𝒽𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓎 𝒸𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝓀𝓃𝑜𝓌 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝑒𝓍𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒾𝓃𝑒𝒹, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝑜𝒻𝒻𝑒𝓇𝑒𝒹 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒶 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒸𝑒 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝑔𝒶𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓃 𝒾𝒻 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎 𝓉𝒶𝓁𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓅𝒶𝓈𝓉.

We have gone sailing, worked and relaxed together for a couple of weeks. They both call me friend and claim that they enjoy my company, even if I have nothing to offer them. 

I have only been playing this reworked maewah a little over a week, but with some friends encouragement, I started posting her up on my screenshot twitter that I have used for contests before. 

Well...Sae was featured for valentines day which had me over the moon...

I have always enjoyed tea. The scent, the way the air seems to flow around the pot as the water sets...it is something I have always enjoyed. Even the art of tea. The way the leaves are dried and treated is fascinating. I wonder if anyone still practices the art anymore. The boiling of the water to a perfect temperature...

𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝑒𝓂𝓅𝑒𝓇𝑜𝓇 𝓈𝑒𝓉 𝓊𝓅 𝒸𝒶𝓂𝓅 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝑒𝓃𝓉𝑜𝓊𝓇𝒶𝑔𝑒 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝒹𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒶 𝓁𝒶𝓇𝑔𝑒 𝓉𝓇𝑒𝑒. 𝒜 𝒻𝒾𝓇𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝓂𝒶𝒹𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒶 𝓅𝑜𝓉 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝒷𝑜𝒾𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓌𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓅𝒶𝓇𝑒𝒹.

There is an art to how the water boils. It will tell you what temperature it is simply by sight or sound if you pay attention. The water will bubble small and sizzle when it is in its first boil while on its second it will bubble larger and the sizzle will vanish. This is the perfect time for brewing. All the elements are at peace.

𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒩𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒶𝓁𝑒 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝒾𝓃 𝒶 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝓁𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓃𝑜𝓌 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝒽𝒶𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓁𝒶𝓌𝓈 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒢𝒶𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓈. 𝒯𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓌𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓂𝒶𝓃𝓎 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝒷𝒾𝓇𝒹𝓈 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒶𝓃𝒾𝓂𝒶𝓁𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒻𝑜𝓇, 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝓃𝑒𝑒𝒹𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓈𝑜𝓃𝑔𝓈 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓁𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝓅𝑒𝒶𝓀 𝓉𝑜 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓂.

The Master and the Lady of the garden seemed interested in me, curious about what and who I was before I left Haso. They did not know that I could sing, or dance...they did not understand the life of a Geisha. They did not know that we are not free, but neither are we owned. 

We entertain. We comfort. Few of us bed our patrons. We are living works of art. The beauty that breathes life into the world around us. 

𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒩𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒶𝓁𝑒 𝑒𝓍𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒾𝓃𝑒𝒹 𝓈𝑜𝓂𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑔𝒶𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝒶𝓂𝑒 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂, 𝓁𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓉𝓇𝒶𝒹𝒾𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈 𝓃𝑜𝓌 𝓁𝑜𝓈𝓉 𝓉𝑜 𝒽𝑒𝓇. 𝒩𝑜 𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝓀𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓈𝑜𝓃𝑔 𝑜𝓇 𝒽𝑜𝓌 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝒹𝒶𝓃𝒸𝑒 𝑜𝓃 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓅𝑒𝓇𝒸𝒽 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒻𝒾𝓈𝒽𝑒𝓇𝓂𝑒𝓃 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓃𝑜𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓈 𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓀𝑒.

I admit I am at a loss. This place is coarse, like salt on my skin. I feel torn at times when I watch the descendants of Haso walking the streets. They are as dolls, painted but not understanding why. Here, our culture is an aesthetic with no meaning. It is a shallow existence with no life, a mockery of the rich world we came from. 

I know my sister and I must grow. I know we must walk the fields of salt before we can come to the valley of this new life. All I can do is pray to the ancestors that our path will not wind as the serpents back along the way. 

𝒜𝓃𝒹 𝓈𝑜 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝓉𝒶𝓇𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒻𝓁𝑒𝓌 𝓉𝑜 𝒶 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝑔𝒶𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒩𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒶𝓁𝑒 𝒸𝓁𝑜𝓈𝑒 𝒷𝓎. 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝓉𝓌𝑜 𝓌𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝒻𝒾𝓃𝒹 𝒶 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒸𝑒 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝑒𝓇 𝓈𝑜𝓃𝑔. 𝒜 𝑔𝒶𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃 𝓌𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓎 𝓌𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝒷𝑒 𝓀𝑒𝓅𝓉 𝒾𝓃 𝒶 𝒸𝒶𝑔𝑒 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒶𝓂𝓊𝓈𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝑜𝒻 𝑜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇𝓈. 𝒯𝒽𝑒𝓎 𝓌𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝒻𝒾𝓃𝒹 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝑒𝒹𝑜𝓂, 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓎 𝓌𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓁𝒾𝓋𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝑒𝓇 𝑜𝓊𝓃 𝓁𝒾𝓋𝑒𝓈.

When I woke again, my sister Tsu held me close. I heard the steps on the wood above us. We were on a ship. Stowaways. 

𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝑔𝒶𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃, 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝒻𝒾𝓁𝓁𝑒𝒹 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝒷𝒾𝓇𝒹𝓈 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒶𝓃𝒾𝓂𝒶𝓁𝓈 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒩𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔𝒶𝓁𝑒 𝓌𝒾𝓈𝒽𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓃 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝑔𝒶𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓃 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓅𝑒𝓇𝒽𝒶𝓅𝓈 𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝒹𝒶𝓎 𝓈𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒶𝑔𝒶𝒾𝓃.
