The Art Of Asking Questions Rather Than Giving Answers

A reminder tonight 🌹

Since I was young, I’ve had a vivid imagination. Everyone and everything became a character in a story line, and this is how I began to make sense of life. Then, anxiety creeped in, and instead of becoming a character, it just masked itself as a part of me. For years. Not until recently did I realize it wasn’t me. Anxiety wasn’t a piece of me but another character. That I could face. Look it in the eyes. I’ve realized that fear and worry have no power. No matter how overwhelming they feel. That anxiety doesn’t have a say in how I breathe, how I think, how I lead. On days when anxiety keeps me from moving forward, I need to become more patient with myself. I’m reminded that only when I choose to take my eyes off of what is untruthful can I see that hope and courage have always been by my side.

Change can come with heavy feelings. And they can make you feel very alone. But, you’re not alone in this. Even if we never meet, know that we go through the feelings of change together.
