Chapter 10 of The Wreck of Our Hearts

Believing she has misread James, Katherine decides to bury her feelings for him. Meanwhile, James resolves to keep his distance until he can make himself worthy of her. Then a violent storm appears on the horizon.

I love party games, they're heaps of fun. I suppose they're more fun if you're playing with Sebastian Sallow.

Four parties. Four games. Four routes to fall for the same boy. A girl who waited too long. A girl who'd rather die. A girl who said no strings. A girl who said yes to everything.

Note:

So when I wrote In Retrospect, it was supposed to be a one-shot. Just a Slytherin girl, a game of Truth or Dare, and six years of yearning she'd been sitting on. That was it. Done. Move on.

And then my brain went off the rails: what if she'd been a Gryffindor instead? What if she didn't yearn — what if she hated him? What game would break THAT open?

And then it was four fics.

I set myself a challenge: one MC from each House, each one paired with Sebastian, each one built around a different party game. Same boy, four completely different girls, four completely different ways of falling. Every fic is standalone. Every MC is nameless. You don't need to read them in order, and each one works on its own.
