really feeling like avoiding people and problems today

people on tiktok are so obsessed with looks it hurts my EYES to read the comments on a singers live saying "ur so pretty" over and over and over and over and I KNOW i GET IT she is gorgeous, she looks like she descended from heaven BUT. she has said many times that she'd rather be recognised for her voice rather than her looks!! and this, i feel like, also applies to women in general!! i saw not so long ago a reel about how you have to be up to the crazy beauty standards of today as well when you have another talent e.g. you're a singer or a musician! and if you don't then you just don't get recognition. and even tho this applies to men as well, it mostly applies to us women, let's be fr. and this pisses me off so much because whyyyy have we been trained into only looking at what's on the surface and not what's inside of people's souls, beneath the doll faces and crazy jawlines and shit. augh. anyway, that's my angry rant for today
